When Brad Brownell retires

When Brad Brownell retires from coaching at Clemson do we rename the court floor after our all time winningest coach? I think if he does retire with less than 2 trophies in his office, it could be rather controversial, but he has won more games than any other coach.
We can call it "Brownell Court at Littlejohn Coliseum"
Here is a very professional rendering I had made for illustrative purposes so you could get a feel

These are the questions we should ponder in the BBall offseason while we wait for transfer portal signings.

This is a thread acknowledging his contributions to the program and a potential way we recognize it. Not sure how that escapes your powers of comprehension?
Your obsession with putting labels on people and stoking tribal derision is fascinating

So you have no thoughts on the proper way to memorialize Brownell once he retires?
Do we just not do anything?

Would you please break that "winning" stat down to Average Wins Per Year for each coach?

Yes he has been there for a decade and a half so the all time winningest coach accolade is laughable .

Honestly maybe just a bust somewhere in the LJ lobby or something. He has been a great ambassador to the college and his tenure shows his dedication. He's run a very clean program in comparison and has a good graduation rate which is supposed to be a priority when coaching student athletes. Yes there has been many a disappointments but he has also produced several of the best wins in Clemson basketball history.

This would be acceptable now, if he manages to win some things

Then perhaps he gets something more than that… But this seems like a reasonable way to thank him for what he is actually accomplished.

Why would he ever retire? No expectations, no pressure, just more money.

It’s like working a government job (well before Elon started cleaning things up.) On second thought - maybe Elon would come do DOCE (department of Clemson efficiency).
Also, if he does retire - do you think we could find a coach to follow his success? It would be like following Saban, or Mike K, or Dean S - only without trophies. You never want to be the “next” guy after such success.

Everyone retires. His counterparts in the ACC that have retired since about the time he joined or since are
Gary Williams was 66 Roy Williams was 70 Mike Krzyzewski was 75 Jim Boeheim was 78 Mike Brey was 64 Tony Bennett was 55 Jim Larrañaga was 75 Leonard Hamilton was 76
Thats an average of 70yrs old, which means this could happen anytime from now until 13yrs from now.

Every single one of them would have been fired if they had Brads record. Brad has no pressure at all. He could just ride it out like Biden did. He won’t even know he retired.

Thats an interesting topic and a good one for the football board during the offseason. I will happily start that one once we have a sirrus conversation about Brownell Court, or whatever.

Name a court after the coach with the most losses in Clemson history? And no championships, except a foreign one.

That would mean that he coached at Clemson 25+ years, so yeah, it warrants some type of honorarium.
