It the loss of respect for his accomplishment at Lil Ole CCC by some of the so called tNET faithful that has hurt him the most and also from being a liar to a poor recruiter, can`t pick staff, can't develop players to being too money hungry! Most of the time I thought some of the posters were so stupid they had him confused with Dumbo Fishnet at TAMU! Some Tiger fans!

So negative - how about what is Dabo’s BEST loss? Each of you needs a hobby. The Man is infinitely more successful than any of you sniping cry babies. What diaper brand do you guys prefer? I really need to know… Pitiful, just pitiful…Jed Clampett Now go suck your Binky and take a nap.

LSU was a great team but the most glaring was how badly they beat us in the Championship game in 19.

And that team was maybe the best ever team in the college game. That's not remotely our worst lost under Dabo.

Yeah I can't call that one the worst. 3 guys from that offense are probably going to wind up in the NFL HoF. Not to mention how many other future NFL players were on the team. That was a lightning in a bottle season. Will be a long time before we see that much talent click that well all in one year.

We jumped out to a 14-3 lead in that game. And had a chance to get back into it in the 3rd quarter against probably the best offensive team in CFB history.

completed Orange Bowl.
The 70-33 Orange Bowl was a very competitive game, until the 99 yard, 14 point swing on Ellingtion's fumble at the goal line. That was a momentum swing that we just never recovered from. The Orange Bowl we just completed had a lot of the same frustrations in it, but more along the lines of that 2008 Wake Forest game that became the catalyst for the end of the Bowden era. Great Expectations, miserably squashed. It (the OB) was not that we got soundly beaten, but that we did not play anywhere close to what had become the "Clemson Standard" under Dabo.
That is why this coming season is so important. Is that Standard now gone for good, or was the comparatively poor play of the last couple of years a temporary aberration?

Maybe because it is so recent, but SC this year ranks up there for me. It is a game that we absolutely should have won, we had the better talent, it was at home, and the consequences of that game for the post season run were huge.

To me, one of the must painful loses was the home loss To Pitt a few years ago because that never should have happened. Some very poor coaching decisions in the final minute allowed Pitt to score in the last seconds and win.

We still won the natty that year. But we would have absolutely crushed the home game winning streak record had we not lost that one, so I guess there is that.

Coot loss was nothing at all other than Clemson not staying focused. Better team didn't win that one. The WV game was a beat down. Not really much of a comparison, although coot fans want it to be special.

I am not sure I ever worry about the worst loss, but I would say the orange bowl loss to WVU was the best loss of Dabo's career. It showed what the program needed, and Dabo learned from it.

This one came to mind for me as well. I remember the pain well. Lot of hype, ESPN showed the buses on the way to the hill, night home game, and crab legs and co went full Kraken on us. Absolute beat down.
Think I’ve still got loss to in-state rival this year ahead of that though, loss of the home win streak, definitively out of the CFP, and so much self inflicted pain by the coaches and players.
When you look at the box score of that 2013 Clemson-FSU game, you can see how much more talented FSU was. Lot of future pros on that team. I don’t see that happening any time in the future with this year’s game vs that other team.

In recent history: The totally undefendable, unexplainable loss to sc this year The loss to a better lsu team The loss to a better Ost team And in ancient history the year we totally beat Notre Dum up and down the field and ended up losing. We were the better team, but i think that was a Montana year.

That South Florida loss in the mayonnaise bowl was a low point in Dabos career imo. WV was a bad one, and along with 2013 FSU game reinforced the whole “##########” narrative. This years coot loss hurt bc it ended the home winning streak and likely kept us out of playoffs and it was coots.

It's not this year's SC game though. I'm not sure that game even makes my top 10. If you're hung up on it just because of the SC rival factor, there are plenty of other SC losses from the 5-peat to choose from - almost all of which were worse IMO.
Here are some candidates i would toss out:
2011 WVU - Could also be considered his best loss since it directly landed us Venables
2013 FSU - We thought we were ready to take the next step as a program and after about 1 quarter of this game it was obvious we weren't
2020 Ohio State - Completely embarrassed on the biggest stage by OSU
2013 SC - This should've been the end of the streak, but we turned the ball over 6 times. Also, if Dabo had a hand in the Sammy Watkins trick pass play (which he almost certainly did), this game automatically goes into his top 5 losses
2011 NC State - We took a 9-1 record into Raleigh and got demolished by a Wolfpack team that was 5-5 heading into the game
2010 USF - We lose to South Florida, what more needs to be said?
Any of the 2009-2011 SC games - We lost these 3 by 17, 22, and 21 pts and were thoroughly dominated in all 3. Take your pick.

Being serious, I actually think the OB loss to WVA was one of his better losses because it forced him to make a lot of changes that led to all of our success afterward.
