What is the main reason Dabo won't sit DJ? [Results]

He doen't think DJ needs to be replaced; he thinks DJ is doing a good job. |
|
Dabo has a weird, stubborn allegience to DJ, and places DJ's success above the success of the team. |
|
We simply don't have anybody else capable of playing better than a bad/injured DJ. |

I don't think that Cade is ready, but I would like to know why there has not been a better effort to bring him along. I know that we don't dominate teams like we use to, but there has still been opportunities to get him more and better playing time.

Fire away, but you have a 5* fresh with fire to play and isn’t afraid, and plays fast!! And HJ in as the 3rd QB…come on Dabo!!!.
It’s glaring that street isn’t up for the job calling plays and development of the QBs. Seems to be street is in therapy sessions with DJ5 every week

In all honesty, I think it's primarily that DJ really DOES do everything off the field that is asked of him. He DOES lead by example, he IS a good student, he DOES work hard... this all buys him equity and Dabo is just waiting/hoping that that performance will 'click' over into gameday.
There also HAS been a falloff in talent at the WR position. And last year there WERE a ton of injuries.
But at a certain point, you just need to acknowledge that it's not going to happen. Last year he had the fig leaf of 'well so many injuries', but DJ's shortcomings (at least as far as what WE ask him to do) were obvious. So he keeps hoping that the switch will flip... because he sees the potential.

Same as last year...no suitable replacement. NOW, I think Cade is hands down better than Pumachan was last year, but I don't think Cade was QB1 ready this year. I do think if DJ stays another year, he WILL lose the job to Cade. Dabo had an out with the injuries last year, and hitched his hopes and prayers on DJ this year, but Dabo will have zero excuse next year.

Nah, can’t be! But, can it? I mean something at the most basic level is not right here. The coach that sees almost every little thing, who walked on and played on a NC Alabama team, who coached for Alabama under Gene Stallings who brought in people to create the most lethal Offense Defense combination in NCAA history for awhile CANNOT see the terrible skillset and percentages and awkwardness of this QB is unexplainable.

Fair question, but hard to answer. CDS is quick to pull a player for a penalty infraction or boneheaded play, but seems like the quarterback position is exempt from that.
