Whatever you think we need, it’s just pitching



And I’m not talking about John Doe (Ethan Darden) that throws 92 mph with some decent breaking balls




I’m talking about power, of course as well as accurate


Any team that does anything is led by their pitching



Pitching is the X factor, you totally fix that, everything else about our team is probably going to be up to par for Omaha

Why do you all want velocity so much. Watch a major league game. over half the pitchers top out at 93-95. It's about placement, and pitch variety. Someone can throw 100mph but if it's ten feet off the plate or right down the middle it's not going to matter.

Pitchers need a variety of pitches, and pitching staffs need a variety of pitchers. We were seriously lacking high-velocity arms.

You absolutely need some power arms as a change of pace . The closers that these super regional teams are using most all are above 95. You have to have pitchers that can come in and throw harder than low 90s which is the best we had . Our pitchers also must learn to throw strikes and stop giving free passes with hit batters crucial situations .

We just need to keep what we have healthy and land a couple to a few more arms and we are fine. We need bats too

Keeping what we have is what has us ranked near the bottom 3-4 teams in the ACC in pitching . We need a lot better than what we have currently to advance out of regional and have any chance to win in the supers .

Nope, need hitting too. Only two guys on the team that was at the .300 level. The rest were .275ish and below.

They need all they can get hitting and pitching. Nature of the beast. Don't need all power arms but need some.

Yes to have only 1 , maybe 2 players hitting 300 is just hard to believe. You won’t win against good pitching with this level of futility at the plate . Also we were next to last in ACC in strikeouts this year . That won’t get it done either !
