on their fantasy forum. LOL Talk about a deLOUsional fan base. They are actually predicting 8-4 or better. Two say 7-6. These bozos are truly going to be heartbroken when they come into our game at 4-7 or at best 5-6. Nail in the coffin time!!!!!

and Spurrier's ego is entirely too big for him to ever allow a perennial doormat to fire him. He would simply retire first.

Spurriers shrine to Spurrier flapping flacidly off of the Roach will be taken down , without fanfare , after DW4 and the Tigers demolish them and seal the 2015 season as a bowl-less , joyless carbuncle of a season with a 40-ish to 13-ish whipping ...stranding them at 5-7 .

Our talent level has bypassed them by a long shot. They are very close to going back to doormat status. Yet, their lame fanbase still thinks shaw and clownboy are still on the team.

If literally ALL of the toss-up games go their way....

and that's a BIG IF, eight wins may be a possibility assuming they win another meaningless bowl game in Shreveport, Memphis or Birmingham.
Frankly, I think they will struggle to duplicate last year 6 - 6 regular season record especially if they drop the opener against UNCheat which is a distinct possibility.

USC goes 6 - 6 regular season, loses their bowl game and Spurrier retires.
Clemson finishes 10 - 3 with a bowl win. We could finish better, but I see to many questions across critical areas, especially OL and special teams.
Go Tigers!

I say 5 max, no bowl game, and spurrier leaves them high and dry. Their OL is more suspect than ours, their QB situation is highly questionable, and their defense will get run over just like last year.
I see 11-1 for us. GT and Louisville will get DW this year instead of Stoudt. FSU and ND at home. Usuck will just plain suck.
I guess Im a "homer".

I wouldn't say their OL is more suspect than ours. We're kind of in the same boat. A couple of unproven guys with a couple of experienced guys. Their D will be better, it has to. It can't be any worse. But I wouldn't say good. Their offense will not be as good. Coots believe Mitch can step in and be as good as Thompson, but there's no way. He didn't even sniff the field last year. At no point was he a viable option for them. That is telling. I'd look for shyt head to hitch his wagon to Nunez halfway through and try to Syvelle Newton his way to 6 wins somehow. And after the loss to Clemson, he yells "I'M OUT!" and drops the mic.

I love the last sentence. I, too, see him as exiting if he gets any lip from their delusional fan base. I will say that he only has himself to blame for his legacy being tarnished and finishing his career on a sour note. I believe his chickens will come home to roost in an empty and very sad barn.

Could you imagine if they only had 3 or 4 wins how empty that Wofford game would be. That's 1 reason you play those games early.

Here is their schedule. Now remember they are breaking in a new QB, basically a new O-line with no depth, new defensive philosophy with a new coordinator and the same old coaches, practically a new d-line (JUCO players with no experience), and one talented offensive skill player.....Do you seriously see a 5-6 win season?
Thursday Sept. 3 Tar Heels North Carolina Tar Heels Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC 6:00 p.m. ET ESPN Saturday Sep. 12 Wildcats Kentucky Wildcats Williams-Brice Stadium, Columbia, SC 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday Sep. 19 Bulldogs at Georgia Bulldogs Sanford Stadium, Athens, GA 6:00 p.m. ET Saturday Sep. 26 Knights UCF Knights Williams-Brice Stadium, Columbia, SC TBA

I see 3-4 given the circumstances. They should have the talent to beat Furman and the Citadel. They should be better than Vandy. UNC is a toss up but I don't see South Carolina having enough offense out the gate. Unless you are barring a miracle in Columbia Missouri and that Florida won't have their act together by Nov. 14 (which I doubt), anything more than 4 is tall!

I can't argue against you. I too think the UNC game is a toss up that they lose. I'm giving them Kentucky at home coming off a loss, and UCF, VANDY. I'm giving them UF at home for essentially the same reason you like UF. I think the coots have somewhat figured a few things out by then and shyt head has one of his games where he out coaches the opposition. A victory vs the Citadel gives them five. Coots are usually good to pull one out their ### by the other team simply crapping the bed (see UF last year, Mizzou year before). UNC or Mizzou could be this game. 6 wins max.
With that said, could just as easily be 4 wins. I don't see more than 7 total best case scenario for them. SEC SEC SEC

What I see is 4 wins. That includes the bye week. They just don't have the offense to keep up with UNC. They should be Kentucky. Georgia not even close (Chubbs destroys them). UCF should have beat them last year and will this year. Vandy loses a close one to them. T A&M wins a close one (T A&M will not be very good this year either). Tennessee and Florida are going to blow them away. They finally have an easy game in the Citadel (This get the fan base going believing they are contenders again?). I know I skipped the center of their schedule but they lose their 3rd game to a Tiger this year and only one of them are within 14 points (Missouri). Depending on how bad they lose the first 8 games will tell if the Ole Balz Sac even coaches the teams finally.

a couple of teams that can certainly beat them....Ky and UCF. I see the UNC game as a toss-up....maybe Missouri, but since they are playing them in the real Columbia, I expect Missou to win.

This past Saturday, I had some friends on the boat. A friend invited another friend, who in turn invited 3 of his friends from "out of town". It wasn't until we were already out that I realized the 4 of them were all gamecocks.
I have to say, immediately, I figured I was in for a long day of 54it talking and redneckery, but the entire group was actually very nice, complimentary and overall just happy to be on the ocean and away from Columbia (their words, not mine). I was pleasantly surprised, and it was one of the first times I've ever had a pleasant experience around a bunch of gamecocks.
That being said, they all predicted a sub-par season for their football team. They were all very knowledgeable and level-headed and all were thinking 6-6 or 5-7 and that this is Spurrier's last year. They also added that they hoped it was, they were appreciative of what he'd done, but that they wished he'd left after this past year and that the "stay for a couple more years" was incredibly damaging and the nail in his coffin. They were more than upset with his recruiting "efforts" or lack thereof and said that he'd already mailed it in and was just around to bank some cash.
Regardless of what the crazies on the message boards are saying, the realistic fans are... Actually pretty realistic, in regards to their upcoming season and what they're envisioning.
