We switched to a 3-2-6 in the second half of the OSU game. If we can't get D-line pressure against Burrow, you might see a 3-1-7.

Yep - he's a LB playing safety in a dime package. What I think some are calling inverted Tampa 2. Anyway, there is probably going to be a package that we've never seen, designed to rattle Burrow, get pressure on him and tie up his receivers until a defender can get to him. I think that's the only way to beat their offense - press man with zone help that morphs into a green dog blitz from underneath. A 3-1-7 seems right to me, but will be hard to stay with if they get anything going in the run game.
I wonder how willing they would be to play run if we foul up their passing game. If we can just hold them between the 20s, I think we can deal with them just fine on the red zone.

They do have an outstanding running back.

So do we. I know we’re talking D, but just saying.

3-1-7

That’s what Auburn did, with some success.
I’m not throwing stones, but my sense is that Auburn’s pass rush was as good or better than yours. Burrow and Brady and E were able to adjust.

No offense , but Brady E isn’t in Brent Venables level.

But the difference between Clemson and Auburn is Clemson's Offense. If Clemson can contain LSU in the Redzone (which I think we can), I don't see LSU slowing down Clemson enough to keep it manageable. I expect Clemson to zone read LSU to death tomorrow night. Oklahoma ate LSU up on the zone read, but completely abandoned it late in the 2nd.

I hope he is okay. Hate this for him. Hopefully he can contribute in some way.
All hands on deck tomorrow night!
