"Side". Lordy. The list of powerful entities that might have cause to want Trump dead is impossibly long. Donald accumulated a truly epic number of enemies his first go-around. All of NATO. Certainly Ukraine. Any number of allies in the Far East like Japan or South Korea or especially Taiwan who have zero faith Trump would be there for them if China decides to have a go at them. Any number of billionaires, both at home and abroad. And that's before we get to domestic entities like the Feds, the CIA, or the Armed Forces...Donald is not exactly on good terms with the brass in any of them.
Ask who might have cause to do it and you'll get back the phone book. I also think it was likely none of them - this time - mostly because Donald's still alive and if it had been MI6 or Ukraine or the South Koreans they would have sent a pro with a Barrett M82 or TAC-50. Those things can splatter targets from more than a thousand yards out. Or even more likely they'll use a drone.
The way it went down says lone nut, at least to me.

2- our leader nor the state sponsored corporate media entities have showed me a picture of this would be weapon, so this is pure conjecture.
3- as an fyi, you can get calibers with a little more girth than a .223 than can stretch out to 1,000+ yards in an AR platform. But I will wait for our leader and the state sponsored corporate media entities to tell me exactly what was used before I make further conclusions because I am a good American.

A 200-300 yd shot whether with an AR chambered for .223, 5.56mm or a .308 or 30.06 sniper rifle is not very difficult at all.
There are a lot of dead prairie dogs that can vouch for the accuracy of a .223 or 5.56 round from well beyond 300 yds.
This guy was not a good shot. He was a poor shot and I’m thankful for that.

that, and law enforcement at the scene are claiming AR style, and witnesses at the scene all said they heard a rapid fire of what sounded like fire crackers. IDK, not a gun expert, but have fired enough high-powered rifles that you would have heard more than a fire cracker sound, and the recoil without a tripod would have been too much to squeeze rounds off in succession like that. That is what the reporting is based on. Being an active investigation, until they can confirm he is a lone wolf, they will not give us much info until they can confirm he had no accomplices, or they are in custody.
