Actually very few. They didn’t do a good job adding impact players up front and in the trenches and it came back to bite them at the end. Seems like using the portal is a good thing!

Southern Cal did not win that game because the kid who transferred from Ms State scored the last touchdown.
They won the game because their 5th year QB played great all game and particularly on the last drive. All passes on the last drive were thrown to kids who have never played for another team other than Southern Cal.
Neither of the examples are reasons to use or not use the portal.

Congratulations! Who gives a ####? Half the players in the country came from the portal and someone's wallet. College football is dead. To be honest I wasn't even excited before the season started and at this point I still don't care. It's just not the same game I used to love.

And oh btw the Commodores found themselves a pretty #### good QB in the portal. He won that game.
I have no position on the portal other than wishing it didn't exist.
Just sayin , the Vandy upset is a better argument in support of the portal.
Also incidentally, Commodore will beat the coots to take away one of their " gimme " on their schedule. So 3-4 wins is their ceiling
