I musta missed this part in the game Friday night but someone told me that it was mentioned of a couple of Memphis guards transferring to Clemson this fall. Any truth? If so, how good are these guys?
Great season Tigers! Proud of Brad and the boys!

Thought I had heard the admin was rejecting transfers, or maybe that was at Pitt. I would think Penny would bring some excitement to the program, although none of the kids playing or HS kids will know who he is if they haven’t seen space jam.

I did not hear any mention of transfers from Memphis to Clemson. I caught a couple of games on TV because I like Tubby Smith and the guards he had were pretty good.
Pitt just hired Jeff Capel according to various media outlets, but if EIGHT players intend to transfer he won’t have much of team to start! It will be interesting to see what recruits Brownell brings in this signing period. Clemson actually needs another big man and a solid combo guard for depth beyon the freshmen already committed.

Bringing in two players when we only have one open ship (assuming everyone returns) will be tough to do.

When I posted earlier I was aware of our slots. Personally I could see one of our current players leaving for more playing opportunities. Based upon our past recruiting I believe CBB is not finished with the incoming class. It remains to be seen what he does with any openings on the team. Due to all the in-state talent next year he may hold an additional slot.

I believe they may have been talking about two players that transferred to Kansas from Memphis, Dedric and K.J. Lawson.
They went to Memphis when Josh Pastner was there because he hired their dad, when Pastner went to GT Memphis hired Tubby Smith he demoted their dad and they transferred to Kansas (sitting out this year).

Of all the names I have seen who would be grad transfers and could play next year I like the big guy from Pitt,Luther, who was injured very early in the year. He is not very quick but we be a good backup to Thomas inside. I know how bad Pitt was but he would be a very serviceable addition for one year.
