Well the good news is Booth should get a seat in first class on the flight back to Clemson instead of having to ride back in the equipment truck. I'd like to think that long ride back from Louisville a couple of years ago in the truck gave him time to reflect and set him up on a trajectory to become the player he is today. Tough love.

Agree. Willful and flagrant attempt to injure a player. Should be pursued imo to sanction #13 (Noel I think). Games over but that behavior can’t be excused.

Notice Dabo went out and helped make sure he went to the sideline. Booth is a great player and plays with a lot of passion. But Dabo knows he is one second away from crossing the line at any moment. It is a fine line. Dabo remembers Louisville too. That is why he was out there.
And the no call was total BS. That was a punch.

BS...Dabo was out there because he loves his players and cares about their safety and well-being. He knows Booth has grown and developed beyond the young hothead he was two years ago. His concern for Booth's health was genuine and the sole reason he was out there!

The worst being that stupid umpire who kept running up to the line of scrimmage at the end of the first half was the same one who WATCHED the whole thing with Booth. He needs to be fired

Seriously what was up with that? I don’t understand how a good amount of these officials do not seem to understand rules or situations? Like the official that threw a flag on the Goodrich INT for an illegal batted ball? It is only a penalty to bat the ball when the ball has touched the ground in a fumble or a snap over someone’s head? So how do you ref in a bowl game, (no matter what bowl it is still a bonus) and not know the rules?

Just one of many “no calls” they ignored. Don’t think they were ever flagged for offensive holding when it was clearly shown on almost every single play. And DJ gets hammered after the release and no call, then we get called for roughing the passer on a nothing hit while the guy was still in motion. But then I expected nothing less from Big 12 officials. Just happy to win. GO TIGERS!!!

I'm pretty sure they weren't ever called for holding. I was screaming the same thing!
Just terrible!
Shout out to A. Booth for A. playing in the game and all the players with NFL futures(Goodrich). I am happy they "finished"!
Happy Booth didn't (unless he couldn't) lose his cool and get a personal foul.

I have never understood how there can be same conference coaches for any game. With all the money in college sports, there is too much opportunity for corruption. Seems the NCAA can never (or won't) get anything right.

Hold up... look closer. This was not a punch. I'm pretty sure he was roughing Booth up, but this was not a punch. He slams the ground with his palm. You can see his hand on the ground by Booth's head as he gets up.

Fact is you can’t tell from that. He could’ve also used a punch and then pressed off his face with his fist to get leverage to push himself up.

No his left has has a different color glove, it’s his right hand that he slammed the ground with. Whether or not he was swinging a booth or not when that happened or connected with his helmet before it reached the ground is unclear

Totally don’t get how this wasn’t a penalty. Even if it wasn’t a punch - looked like one to me- he’s still grinding Booth in the ground like he’s top position in a wrestling match. Those refs were clueless

His left hand is pushing on Booth helmet and his righthand pushes off the ground. after looking at it I don't think he punched him but he was grinding his head in the ground and staying on top of him.

All I know is the IS player spun over Booth like a MMA fighter, cocked his arm back and slammed his hand down. Booth gets up staggering. That kind of behavior would get Skalski thrown out of the game with at least one 15 yard penalty.

Looked like Booth just got merked and hit his head on impact. If that is a punch, it definitely isn’t blatant. A little extra, but not way that is an ejectible offense.

Typical scrap but the ‘no call’ is worthy of a fine to the official…..do they fine officials that are standing there watching a blow being thrown and don’t throw a flag? They should.

Don't know if they fine them, but they should, and the unresponsive referee should be canned and banned, immediately. He mist have been a fan of Iowa State. The failure to call that flagrant penalty was inexcusable.
