Bold take, but I think I would rather have Bissetta than Creighton. I just think Bissetta was more dependable at the plate than Creighton, but oh well. Some may disagree with me.

I don't mean to knock the guy, but I've never understood the obsession for Crighton. I'm generally not in favor of playing corner outfielders and first basemen who don't have good power. Or respectable power at the very least. Jack has virtually none; he's got 1 career home run. (To his credit, it came at a great time.) Now, there are some caveats to that philosophy. If he were an elite contact hitter with a batting average in the 400's, or even the mid-to-high 350's, I'd be totally fine with it. It's not all about homers, and those types of players often get a lot of doubles and bring great speed and defense. But Crighton doesn't really have that, either.
In his 3 years here, his batting averages have gone .239, .313, .287. His extra-base hit totals have gone 3, 8, 9. His highest OPS is .768 from the '24 season. Just to put that into perspective, Paino's was .780 this year. Ciufo's was .795. Even among this year's lineup, Jack's OPS was only 9th-best on the team among players with at least 100 plate appearances. If he were an elite defensive center fielder or middle infielder, I'd understand it more. But I don't see how that type of bat is a fit for corner outfield or first base. He's a mediocre contact hitter with almost no power whatsoever. His defense and speed are good, but not elite.
To his credit, as others have mentioned, his defensive versatility is nice. I think he would be great as a bench piece or a super utility guy to fill in as needed for injury, rest, or underperformance. But to be blunt, I don't think his bat is good enough to be a starting 1B, LF, RF, or DH at Clemson. In fairness, both Gaffney and Bissetta were worse than Crighton offensively this year, so it was probably more a matter of Bakich trying to find the least bad of some poor options. Bissetta and Gaffney were supposed to fill those rolls this year, but they badly underachieved.

Was he? Bissetta had more AB’s last year and was on pace to have more this year until he got hurt. I think Bissetta was more valuable than Crighton offensively, but Crighton has more versatility defensively.
Crighton has better bat to ball skills than Bissetta does, but he also has zero power. We sorely missed the home run potential Bissetta provided down the stretch, and we could’ve used him next season for sure.
While I hate to see Bissetta go, in terms of overall value he was pretty close with Jack. Not to mention Bakich brought Dalley in who (if he stays) fills the same role Bissetta does.

Should fit in well with Ole Miss. I watched several of their games. It’s lots of power & a ton of strikeouts. They really struggled to make consistent contact against the better quality pitchers they faced.

If you loved it here in Clemson and all the other BS you spouted. Why did you leave? I’ll guess and say you were going to be on the Bench!

You have NO idea what your talking about. He has a degreee from Clemson, loved his time here but he kind of got screwed by Coach Bakich. Hitters need consistent AB's not here and there. Then he was thrown in a game to pitch vs Ga Tech because we were getting our butt's whipped. After that he said I'll do whatever to play and he started throwing bullpens so he could help out in relief, ended up tearing his UCL an having surgery - season done! Bakich really did Bissetta no favors at all, so good for TB to get an opportunity to play at Ole Miss!!!

Always liked the kid but this seems surprising, I honestly thought he was destined to drop down a level to the SoCon or something, didn’t think he was an SEC-level player but good for him and I hope he does well there.
