They do.
That’s why they got this all world kid AJ Dybantsa coming in hoops. If you haven’t seen him play… whoa… dude is legit.
They also just beat out Oregon and USC for 5 star QB Ryder Lyons. I believe he is the top player in the state of California this cycle.
Think about that… BYU………. BYU is getting a 5 star QB. It doesn’t matter if he doesn’t play a down for them ever… that shows some muscle and makes a big announcement in the recruiting world and other highly rated guys are going to start looking that way.
BYU… as you said… has a war chest of NIL. The house settlement is great and all… but it’s not going to stop pay for play. People will find loopholes and others will just outright exploit it and if anyone tries to stop it… they’ll just sue and win anyway.
This is the world of college sports now… sadly

He’s a 4 star by most, and he’s probably a Mormon. Hard to beat BYu for a Mormon.

Even if he is which I don’t know either way…
He’s still a highly rated kid at the games most important position.
You’re telling me there haven’t been other highly rated kids that are Mormons before this cycle? Of course their are and that’s my point… BYU wasn’t getting any of those types before… but they are now… bc of the NIL war chest they have which was the original point.

If he’s a committed Mormon he’d do his two years of missionary as an elder on foot/bikes before college.

They’ve actually gotten quite a few highly ranked Mormons over the years in all honesty, but I really don’t care that much. They’re still irrelevant and supposedly they won the national title in 84, but they barely beat a terrible Michigan team that was 6-5 in the Holiday Bowl.

Looking at his final list, one of them (Clemson) is not like the others! Hopefully, he ready to come east! Maybe playing in the ACC will be a draw. Unfortunately, not like it once was.

The reason Clemson has a good chance is there is a strong connection to recent transfer Jake Wahlin from U of Utah. Probably helped how they got Wahlin. Keep riding that if you can. See link:
