Wasn't Clemson and Akron scheduled for 9/19 anyway? Looks like Citadel already has CSU scheduled on that date.

There are so many reasons to prefer playing a team from our own state. Choosing an out of state school over The Citadel would not go over well with our population.

Why play an 11th game against a team like Akron or The Citadel if other teams around the country are getting away with playing only 10? The fact that we’re in this situation because SC is avoiding their 7th in a row ### cutting from us is appalling. Did the coots not sign a contract to play that game? If so, our AD needs to grow a pair and call them out on it. Keep the game on the schedule as it was originally agreed upon, talk and plan as if it’s going to played, even have Dabo talk smack to Muschamp all season about how he’s looking forward to playing his team this year. We show up on the scheduled date ready to play...Dress out and go thru warm-ups and everything. If they fail to show up at kick off, have Dabo say, Oh well, I guess Ole Will was afraid to play us or something. Call it a forfeit and count it forever in the record book as a win.

It’s a good get the young guys an experience game. Bama and the coots have had a hard time with them. Hope we match up ok, they might run Straight at XT hole the whole game. Guess we could use a rookie/Bresee there if we had to.

Tigers need to play a tougher opponent. IF this season is played out we will hear the same story as in previous years. Clemson doesn’t play anybody! A game with the Citadel is great but a game against a power five school or major independent would be much better. When the ‘experts’ look at our schedule at years end see Citadel Bulldogs there it does absolutely nothing for the program.
