It’s one thing to have a talent issue but there is no excuse for this team to be so bad at the basic fundamentals of softball. High school & club teams play with better fundamentals than this Clemson team. I know they are playing a lot of freshmen but it’s the coaches job to at least have them ready & know the basic principles of the game. Your player’s talent level is what it is. Not much you can do about that but even less talented teams can play with good sound fundamentals.

Probably pretty much split between poor coaching and poor player decisions. At this level, 99% of these ladies have been playing elite club softball since they were 12 years old. The mistakes being made are those of rec teams. Might be recruiting mistakes or just non-development

Thos is a knee-jerk reaction.... but will end-up being the outcome. Clemson Softball is established and that was his job. It's time for phase 2!!

We need to give these ladies a little time to gel. We are at the tournament and they are playing a little better each game. They are starting 3-4 freshmen each game. Today’s game was much better than the previous 3 except for a few critical base running errors that may be part players, part coaches. If John had not been ejected I believe that he would’ve pulled Brooke in favor of Reese at the start of the eighth.
We have been spoiled by a bunch of super talented ladies who played their hearts out the past couple of years.
We need to be a little more patient before waiving the white flag on Team 6.

Interesting schedule...No FSU on the schedule unless the girls meet them in the ACC tournament....I thought it might be a misprint so I pulled up FSU's schedule...nope..not a misprint.
