Michigan at #10 is a complete farce. Terrible poll this week.

Totally agree...USC, LSU, ND, Ole miss all too high as well. Clemson has the best loss among all those teams. The bias among certain teams never ceases to amaze me. We are always in the "win and we're in" category while some of these other teams can prob make the 12 with 3 losses. It's ridiculous. ND (who lost to NIU at home) being almost top 12 along with Michigan top 10 are just criminal. If any ACC team lost to NIU they would be out the top 25. SMH. GO TIGERS!!!!

I don't listen to them. It's like fake political news. All a lie.

These polls mean NOTHING......ok, of course they have a bearing on playoffs... BUT they are not a measure of best and better teams right now overall. There's a few obvious choices.

They will mean more in late October and then going forward.

Looking like our Bowl win against Kentucky,

Sep 29, 2024, 2:49 PM

though last season, was a pretty good win or am I wrong? They have a very respectable/good team it seems.

It was def a nice win last year by our young team but this Kentucky team is significantly worse. They lost their top QB,RB,CB,LB,OL as well as 5 other starters to FA deals. Gaslighting is wild..they played Ga close and beat an Ole miss team that was clearly over ranked. They were blownout by usuc at home. I don't disagree with 14/15 for us but ND, Omiss, USC, LSU, MICH, PSU, are all over ranked. Kentucky shouldn't even be mentioned until they get to atleast 6-2 (which they won't get to). ACC never gets any respect but we have won 3 of the last 10 nattys, SEC has 5 and B1G has 2. ACC has more than held its own. Go Tigers!!!

Could someone help an old man to
understand these ratings? CU opened the season with a loss to #1 UGA and almost fell out of the top 25. Last night UGA lost to #4 or
#5 Alabama and fell just a few places down. And Miami got a huge break from the three blind mice in Charlotte and were awarded a win over unranked VA Tech , in a game where they trailed most of the game, yet they kept their #8 position. Does anyone else see anything wrong with these rankings? Can someone explain what goes on in the minds of these people? Thsnksn

AP poll has always had tons of bias. Not new. Just seems to be getting worse.

I see something very wrong with them. I understand the UGA ranking, but not Ole Miss at #12. They lost at home and were controlled by an average UK team. Yet they only fall 6 spots? They looked physically and mentally soft to me. It’s BS

I hope this is sarcasm. Bama, Ga, TX are legit playoff teams but that's it. Ole miss or LSU have a decent chance but the media projecting all 5 SEC teams to make the playoffs is ridiculous. They dropped Louisville way down so if they finish 10-2 it won't bump SEC 4 & 5 teams out. It's not rocket science but it's definitely bs. Go Tigers!!!

Agree that Miami should have dropped more. We got shellacked by UGA, that's why we dropped so far. I have no problem with UGA dropping to #5 with that loss on the road to the team that was #4. I also don't think Louisville should have dropped to #22 with a 7 point road loss to a team with a higher ranking...

If PSU & Mich has held their rank then Miami should hold firm as well. Cam Ward still lit it up and they remain undefeated. I think Miami would beat PSU & Mich. Mich got embarrassed by Texas at home, has zero good wins, no qb and still sit at 10th. The only consistent thing about these polls is the ACC gets screwed early & often, while the SEC & B1G get preferred treatment. Go Tigers!!!

The AP Poll is the Associated Press which means a bunch of media and press people who don’t really pay attention. That is why this poll is perplexing with bias especially for a certain power 5 conference. Earlier when we lost to #1 UGa I don’t think we should have dropped 11 places or whatever it was. Actually the poll that counts comes out on Election Day November 5.
