He's definitely a developmental guy, no doubt has the size and arm talent but needs some refinement. He's been a polarizing topic on the Arkansas boards. Lots of fans are surprised he's been so heavily recruited by the blue bloods but coaches obviously are projecting him to be a really good player in 2-3 years with a high ceiling.

The other target was posse and he's got a 100% lean to auburn. They've already got one qb committed. I'd say between us and Baylor. Not sure why 247 shows 25% to ole miss when he released top 3.
Wonder why we couldn't get any traction with Davis or Lagway?? Instant pt?
Would be nice to get a QB commit early.

Yeah, was looking at their hs stats. 2nd leading rusher. Don't seem to pass too much. His completion rate was only 53% last season. Doesn't sound like he has much offense around him.

The competition he plays against doesn't seem overly competitive however he has all of the measurables and appears to be a dynamic athlete. Looks like he understands and sees what we already have in our QB room and is good with it. This will give him a few years to develop and compete against high end talent. Great pickup, I like what I see.

No one can dispute Dabo and crew can reel in top QBs. In a normal recruiting year the only offer maybe 5. Limiting the pool to that few, they evaluate hard. The few they offer are worthy. If they offer a QB, I'm confident that the kid is among the top few in the country.

In all those snaps, only once did I see him throw to a second or third option. Seems he had his mind made up on who he wanted to throw to as the ball was snapped, then if that guy was covered, he took off. Sounds a lot like a guy who just spent three years in orange.
I realize I'm looking at a small set of plays, but perhaps they're a representative sample.

So Rival's has him as the 21st best out of Arkansas and 247 has him at #1. Weird.

A high school QB often has not developed the skills at looking for 2nd or even 3rd options in the passing game. That will come with development.

The throw that got me was when he's rolling to the right and just looked like if flipped it 58 yards on the money. Strong arm
