As usual, the Aholes over at ESECPN forgets a major factor in their desirable point system, and they forgot that BV was the Oklahoma HC, and not the DC, and he will only have very limited time to put into coaching the defense as a whole, and that the Oklahoma defense won't be the D that he put 100% of his time into structuring a defense that was a top 5 defense year in, and year out. And as the HC with all the responsibilities of a HC, he will only have very little time for coaching his defense while being the HC!!!!

The bigger the doubt us the easier it is to motivate

We should pay them to rate us lower, it will give Dabo “Ammunition” and he doesn’t need much with this defense.
No way Oklahoma beats us after all they lost right now. By the end of the season Brent will have some dogs, mostly for next year but they will be better.
Brent is so intense & heck of a coach!

Doesn’t matter how much ammunition you have if the shooter is inaccurate.

I'm not saying that BV will be one of those great Coordinators that became a HC and failed, but he could be, and if he fails, it will be bc he is so intense.

For some reason...I read this and Brad Scott’s name got stuck in my head. Venables is a great proven defensive coordinator. Being a great coach is a whole different universe. It is very far from automatic. Wish Venables the best, as long as he isn’t playing against Clemson. Go Tigers!

BV never ran a program before and they start at 4?

Clemson’s stability in both roster and coaches trumps what they have right now. Would be 2 TD game H2H

I know last year is last year, and this year is this year. However, the only teams we beat by 2 touchdowns or more last season were SC State, UConn, Wake, and SC. I'm not saying we wouldn't beat Oklahoma, but we have some things to prove this season before we assume we'd beat Oklahoma by 2 touchdowns.

I completely agree brother. BV hasn't EVER been HC. New school, his 1st yr with a depleted roster compared to last season will have its challenges. There is a massive amount of change for everyone involved and I guarantee heads are spinning like tops over there. BV will do great eventually and hired some great coaches but there will be a curve. I currently see them between 12th-15th, atleast 2 tds behind us. We had one season of less dominance and people pray we are falling from grace. We aren't. GO TIGERS!!!

Venebkes is almost certain to be a great coach, but itll not likely show this season. Im thinking theyre giving the Sooners a bit too much credit. At the same time, if our offense diesnt improve, it may be we were overrated too.

Being a great coordinator does not mean he will be a great HC. Dabo was never a coordinator, but he has made himself into a great HC!!!

Those folks really laid off of Wake. I surmise since the QB is out indefinitely.

BC ESECPN would pick any team over Clemson. Clemson has been the biggest thorn in the side of what ESECPN has financed for the past 7-8 years, and yes, anything that ESECPN says about Clemson is wishful hoping that we'll be a bad team, and fall out of the way of their precious SEC bc, that is the conference they have put the most money behind to be the great FB conference!!!

#39 offense; totally unacceptable

We have to be better than that this year. DJU has got to be able to pass to the middle of the field and the O Line has to have some semblance of both run and pass blocking.

I'm assuming a lot of the Oklahoma projections are based on their schedule. They play UTEP, Kent State, and Nebraska OOC. The only preseason top 25 teams on their schedule are #10 Baylor, and #12 Oklahoma State and both of those are home games for Oklahoma. I know Oklahoma often loses at least 1 game they're not supposed to, but I could see where the projections would have them going unbeaten during the regular season.
