This guy had previously announced that his decision between us, OH State, and the other school would take place today.
If it makes every one here happy to attribute Betancur’s commitment was due to G.Riley’s hire, then why not satisfy ourselves as believing that we understand why he committed to us?

I don't know, but this guy has a TL16 stride with ability also to do that quick step to get away and stretch those long legs that makes it hard to catch up to him. With Jordan Leggett, he had a great set of hands for catching the ball, and he was really good at catching the 50/50 jump balls, but he just wasn't that fast on the long run, and defenders could run him down even when he had a couple of steps on them.

Yep - and with all of those shortcomings plus his unwillingness to block as an H-back, I'd take another few Jordan Leggets every year for the next few decades.

Why sell Clemson short in thinking he only committed to us based on our OC? We have been getting quality players for a number of years in case you missed it.

I have to say WELCOME to the Tiger family. You will never regret this. We love our players. Watched your highlights, good evasive techniques, watches the ball into his hands. Able to break tackles. As he get stronger he is going to be another great Tight end from Clemson. We are jumping with joy that he chose Clemson. Made my day!!!!!!!!! This big guy played almost in my backyard. He is going to be a doggone good player. The other teams aren’t going to know what slapped them in the face. Glad he chose Clemson over that school in Ohio and Oregon.

I do not know how good Illinois football is, but his tapes look impressive. I think Clemson prevailed because of the increased utilization of TE's this past year. The new OC did not hurt our chances and may help us with others.
