IMO the fact going after few guards that tells me the staff thinks Jaden Zachery is coming back. I feel they are just looking for some decent guard and wing role players . I saw this guy's this tape. Good looking player. Athletic and can hit the 3.

Does he have an appeal of some kind? I thought his only avenue was the 5th year policy change from NCAA. Banking on that seems really precarious. Most of what I read paints it as a toss up from votes for even having a 5th year but that supporters are split on a range of issues regarding implementation. So the odds that a policy will be put forth that garners enough support to go into effect immediately seems fairly remote.

I heard Middlebrooks specifically entered the portal under the intention that he’d be available to other teams if the 5 yr eligibility rule gets approved. In Zackery’s case that would mean Clemson holding a spot for him. That shouldn’t be a problem with a 15 man roster cap.

Could’ve had the #1 PG Nate George from GT now we have to face his 28 points again against Syracuse. Getting no names from 3 time zones away seems to be the best plan for BB. Lame.

If they knew Zachary was probably going to be able to come back that might be why they didn't push hard for George and he would not want that competition any way.

Yes the cultists even know that we are in trouble at guard . This kid averaged 7 points per game last year ? We have struck out on all the top scoring guard options from the portal. I guess we can always rely on Brads coaching to turn him into a scoring machine . Brad Brownell , the gift that keeps on giving !
