represents a chance to improve the roster and get more than "minimal" production out of a scholarship. Hopefully this turns into one of those situations where a change of scenery winds up positive for all concerned.

Yep. Good luck Ruby. Get that spot where you can be an every down player and raise your stock more. Not saying a developer is by any means a bad thing but hopefully he learned a lot from the stout group he was in. Definitely a team player. And always a Tiger.

He was in line for a lot more playing time if Davis and Ruke were going pro.
However, I do believe that Page, Tre, and Capehart would have played more than Reuben. Woods, Burley, and Green are also going to compete for playing time.

Rather, Etinosa is probably leaving because he witnessed the quality back-up snaps were going to younger players such as Capehart, Williams, and Page.
If either of Orhororo or Davis return, then he ‘s facing being in the third line of the DT rotation.
Finally, considering the two incoming FR top end talent DTs who are sure to play DT (with Peter Woods almost certain to start out at the DE position), E.Reuben could have been getting fewer snaps in 2023 than he got in 2022.
Transferring is the smart move for him.

This is all spot on. These guys only get a few years to play NCAA and you just cant ride the bench the whole time. I'd want to play too. Their careers are so short, and I bet some of these guys don't really want to leave, but they have to leave.

Your talking about Reuben? He's going into the portal to get some PT. Don't see how he could possibly land in the NFL - never could break past 3rd string at Clemson.

Too bad. He is a good player and a smart kid. Hate to see him go somewhere else but I get it.
So glad Mafah decided to stay. He has the highest ceiling and best pro potential. He and Shipley should get same amount of touches if we will get COMMITTED to the run. No excuse for CK throwing 60 passes in Orange Bowl.
