as well as Georgia, Ohio St., Alabama and so forth and so on as well as every FBS school. Preseason rankings this time of year is just talk and talking never won the first game, never made a school go undefeated, never won a championship. The proof will be on the field, after the dust settles. then you will have your true rankings. Let the games begin.

With a good season; we will make the playoffs!
The Dabo saying of nothing less important than the score at halftime seems appropriate. But, I get the reason people get into preseason polls. It hypes you up and get you primed for the season.
Win and we quickly rise in the Polls. Win with an impressive offensive display and we move up quickly. Because to me, the modern "in the know football prognosticators" just love explosive offenses more than anything else.
Have that, and we are in.
These jokers will even give you a pass if your defense is average. See LSU defensive rank in 2019. TN defense was just okay last year, but they had an explosive offense and they shot up the polls. After struggling(needed a Pitt FG miss) to beat a, "gasp" ACC school. And, that was with a 1st time Pitt starter at QB.
We'll be alright! More than alright, TBH!

We are so thankful for your ranking in the preseason, the mention of the gift we gave the coots in the long run might be the gold we need to motivate us to another National Championship!
UGA is going down! It’s going to be fun shooting for the top this season!
They know this is their last chance for a while to dog us out but it certainly works to our advantage!

We make big moves to shore up our biggest weaknesses from an 11-win season that we ended up ranked 12th or 13th, and then get ranked 14th.
Seems like a moronic projection to me. Looks like they have a lazy model that basically looks at losing a starting QB, OC, and some first-rounders as an automatic disadvantage. Unless, of course, you’re in a koolaid media pumped conference, then everything is considered an advantage over last year.

Probably about right. Tigers were not physically competitive vs ND or Tennessee. Should have beaten SC. Likely 2-3 losses this season - will have to beat FSU twice to win ACC. Non-participation in transfer portal and inability to compete with SEC teams on NIL money will doom Tigers to second tier. Will not change until they move to SEC.

FSU hasn't made it to the ACC title game since 2014. I wouldn't pencil them into a rematch. After they lose to us, they could be in a position that they'll need to run the table to make it. Louisville could sneak in with their weak ACC slate. They avoid us, FSU, and UNC. I think Brohm is a better coach than Satterfield.

I wouldn’t be wasting my time following Clemson football or reading Tigernet.
I agree we need to use the portal and jump ship, but I don’t think I definitively know what’s going to happen with our future results already in the meantime.

Let's face it and be real, the Tigers are on the downward slope. Almost nobody from the portal, we are keeping Wes Smith, who coached the D with great players and we end up dropping way down in defensive rankings. The party is over. Nice run, but reality will be setting in very soon. We are heading back to being a mediocre team.
