so now where the best team, how can we say that when we haven't even played a "legitimate" team yet. We have no Heisman finalists, barely anyone up for awards, Swinney is the 3rd best coach in the ACC, how can they say this

And I imagine that when we win it all, he will whine about how rested we were due to our schedule. At least that is my suspicion based on what I read here; I have never been capable of watching his show because it is mostly people arguing over unprovable facts.

I have to wonder how much is backtracking and how much is they can't influence things anymore. Now that we are in the playoffs they can't influence our seeding or what would happen with a slip up so it is no point in pushing an alternate opinion. It might not even be many of the experts who have changed opinions but the one's upstairs who control the narrative. Regardless, something has changed, because I don't ever remember this much love for Clemson.

It's interesting that CBS's "poll" has Clemson 3rd and 4 SEC team's in the top 8. Nine of their experts pick Clemson over Ohio State, and 7 of those pick Clemson to beat LSU in New Orleans, but we are the 3rd best team in their poll. I guess their experts are not the ones in charge of what gets published.
