1 coach & his team entered the tournament with point to prove. 1 coach & his team entered just going through the motions. Sadly the 1 going thru motions is supposed to be a NCAAT team.
Brad needs to go after this year. & if I were Neff I'd take a good look at Earl Grant based on what he took over @ BC.

Normal clueless Brown L post season game ; SSDD or SSDY !!! Brown L set the tone in his presser earlier in the week talking about the late 9:30 tip;6’10” Hall with 1 rebound and got that with 6 mins left in game; Chase Hunter with 2 points. Team completely unprepared to play tonite; we got one more game to play and then get a 2 for 1 deal on moving vans to move Brown L and Butler on their merry ways !! Maybe we can get Earl Grant back from BC or pay Shaka Smart to come back to TigerTown !!

Obvious bad game plan=if you can call it one.
Rebounding was really bad
No energy in their play
Girad had a break throuch for a moment and then fell off. They could not get him clean looks.
No movement on offense to the inside. Throwing the ball around the perimeter is nice
if you are at a seniors class with a beach ball
We obviously don't have anyone you could call a shooting coach. Shooting was not only off line a lot but ball trajectories were often flat like they are leg weary which should not be the case
If they did get it inside they threw it up like a hot potato.
I think they said BC's backcourt scored 49 to our team total of 55.
These guys just totally lose confidence..like they think they cannot win-same crap as with Wake Forest game.
Somebody PLEASE tell these guys how to practice shooting and how to rub off a defender on a screen.

I have a theory.
I think Brad sometimes loses on purpose to help out a coach he likes that could be “in trouble”. Stoudamire NEEDED a win to steady the ship at GT. Brad did him a solid.
BC is a former assistant, looking for momentum to help springboard into next season. Brad did him a solid.
This team knew it would not get past UNC or Duke for the title, let alone UVA. This way they rest for the NCAAs. (Taking a risk they won’t move down and draw a buzz saw as an opener.)
I really think there is something to this. We have lost to too many crappy teams with coaches that were in trouble. Look at the other bad losses. They sorta fit the mold.

Not really. It's late Feb or early March. 3 out of 4 to teams that aren't in the tournament... well, I guess wake might get in.

Brownell was given an ultimatum last year that he had to make the NCAAT or he was gone. So Neff should have fired him last year but went the snowflake route by saying he could keep his job because the Tigers should have been in the Tournament. Then they went out and wet the bed in the first round of the NIT. Neff backed himself into a corner with the same requirement this year. They are going to get into the NCAAT and BB will probably get an extension. Were most likely stuck with mediocrity for several more years.

We entered the Memphis game 9-0, we have since went 12-11. It is time to get rid of Brad. He gets out- coached by every coach he plays against. We have lost 3-4 games this year because he did not call a timeout. We need to bring back Will Wade and fast! Oh I know Brad will make the tournament this year and probably get another 5 year extension and a bump in pay...

who was it that called us "basketball coaches" not long ago for stating the obvious??? OK, I got to admit, I'm a little surprised. I figured first half lead by 7 or so. Then come out sloppy. Let the lead slowly drip to 1 or 2, then in the end not be able to make those crucial buckets and lose by a point or two. Good gosh, never saw a total embarrassment coming.

Morehead st should have been the straw and Neff would have been justified. It had to be one of the hardest dismissals of Dabo's career in December to a good friend... but he didn't hesitate, yet Neff caves in. Obviously he didn't care about booting Amanda.

My favorite part of this whole article is that the game ended around 23:23 ET. And it took TNet about 10 minutes to pump out a fully edited article on how "threes were cold" or some other junk like that.
