Sadly, he can't recruit in state. I have a feeling the race card is being used here.
I think it's used alot against us unfortunately.

Nothing against our state but I'll take a 4* from 7A Texas football (Permian, Lake Travis..etc.) over a 4* from here. Lineman are hard to project but a small piece of the guesswork can be eliminated if they are dominating against 7A competition.

we live in a small state. there are not many elite players. lets see, would you rather have jordan burch or miles murphy. the list can go on and on.

At 6'5" 290 now, by the time he is ready to hold hs own on the O line, he'll probably be 6'6" or 6'7" 300 plus, and that's a heavy load to try and push around....

Well said. While I am a proud South Carolinian, winning recruiting battles in other states is A LOT more important than winning them in SC, most of the time.

In state has long been not a top priority anymore, we pick and choose in state. Clemson has been recruiting Nationwide for a good decade now. Our success nationally just happened to benefit the coots and making them think they're doing something. There's barely a few really solid recruits in-state a year anyway. We got 2 good ones recenetly in Williams and Green (SC player of the year). SC recruiting is top heavy on lineman this year and we've been recruiting O-Line pretty heavy the last few years.

Austin is recruiting better & bigger offensive lineman and it’s going to help us be dominant at controlling games like never before.
Our defense will shine because of our tough offensive line will help them too with making them tough and controlling games.
Ps- it only took me about 4 1/2 seconds! For the world record!

That’s pretty much truth. It is right up the road from Tyler, but then you are really close to Greenville. He will probably love Clemson and the humidity in the air there won’t give him problems like it does me.
We aren’t even recruiting him, which only means our OL coach chose to recruit others and he may not be a Texas fan. So, good luck to y’all

Sounds like a great catch. The only problem is that he never said anything about how much he liked what he saw in terms of the campus or athletic facilities.

Are you just reaching now? He wasn’t quoted on that, for sure, but that means very little and we all know he loved the facilities because Clemson’s are among the best.
