Without a doubt Matt Luke, Nick Eason and Chris Rumph has been the best coaching hires that Dabo has make for Clemson over the past 3-4 years hands down!!!
Also, Dabo really should try his luck again with bringing in at least two, maybe 3 more coaching hires that would be as good as those last 3 hires were for our Clemson FB program.
IMHO, if Dabo wants to get serious about getting our FB program back to the top and playing championship FB, he must make 2 maybe 3 more coaching changes if he really wants the best is yet to come to mean anything!!!

Any of the other QBs we played this year in that game last Satdy. Our DL were in the coot backfield constantly, but that slippery Lamar-Jacksonlike sucker kept wriggling away.

100% agree with that statement, and I said that's what we'd be facing with Sellers a few days before the game, the kid is an escape artist, and he's one of the best I've ever seen that could get away from tackles as good as he's shown that he can. It is my opinion that BV could've taken our same defensive talent and at least slowed Sellers down bc he done it with other QBs during his time as our DC. None as slippery as Sellers, but some that were pretty good at getting away from tackles...

It would have been high energy and violent. Oh by the way....I respect Wes Goodwin..but on that 3rd and 16....they ain't getting in the endzone if Venables was still calling the signals for the defense with that series

BV had his blitz package so disguised that most OC's didn't have a clue of where they were coming from. No doubt he was one of the best DC's in the country!!!

Venables could also develop his position group. Wes couldn't develop one of the top LB prospects in decades to run the MIKE so that we could run a 4-3, instead of the 4-2-5, which caused us to get gashed in the run game. That's not even scratching the surface on how we don't seem to even have one competent backup in the LB corp now that Sammy is a starter. That should be the biggest indictment on Goodwin's ability as this was touted as one of the best groups in the country by most pundits, and the loss of Kobe McCloud shouldn't have affected it that much.

With position coached being under not so good coordinators, more times than not it has a negative effect with how they do their job...
Everybody has an opinion, mine is that if Eason and Rumph were working under BV when he was at Clemson, the 3 of them working together I believe would have made the 3 of them better at doing their job. Kinda like the main star of a movie, if he/she was doing a bad job it would reflect on all the other actors/actresses...

but it's a risk/reward proposition.
Reward-what we believe would be better coaches.
Risk-you could lose Gideon, highest rated RB recruit since Shipley, Wesco and Moore, two best WR recruits in 8 years, even Cade if we change his OC and QB coach.
Like it or not, those guys signed with the current staff, except Cade.

Off the bat, Dabo needs to replace the DC/LB Coach, WR coach, RB coach, Safeties Coach, and ST coach. Richardson is questionable as his TE's have been pretty reliable and he's gotten the depth to perform as well.
