This by far has got to be the most intriguing super regional this year. I do not keep up with softball nationally much, but I do understand the greatness of the Sooners’ softball program and what they’ve done.

Valerie Cagle is the best player in the nation leading her newly founded program up against the hardest possible test. I wouldn’t say it’s David and Goliath, but it’s understandable to say that. That said, anything can happen when you’ve got Cagle. Mackenzie Clark also has shown to be very impactful in pressure situations on offense and defense.

Things I expect are for this to be a very highly viewed softball series on TV, great for this program’s recognition at the least. Also, I expect them to do everything in their power to win.

This Clemson team was 40-5 at a point. I hope Oklahoma underestimates us, because there’s a real chance.

It is David and Goliath and one go down in the books as one the greatest upsets ever if we win. You never know, it's 0-0 now.

You got to admire that record in any friggin sport. I would be shocked if we win one game but I'm hoping for a miracle!

Yea was talking to the wife about that yesterday. 54-1… one heck of a program. Hopefully we can pick up on some things a program like that does to play that well for such an extended period of time. Wishing the ladies well. Will be the best team that anyone on our team has ever faced.

Yes they are. That’s unbelievable in either baseball or softball with how unpredictable they are.

But that also means someone (Baylor) figured out how to do it. And Baylor doesn’t have Valerie Cagle.

I believe in Rittman more than anyone to be able to do it. You’ve just got to rely on your talent here, you can’t really prepare for the variety of ways Oklahoma can win.

Love you to death RB, like your posts but Rittman isn't that special. I appreciate what he's done and doing for us but he's no Dabo. Just trying to keep it real.

Certainly any team can beat another team on any given night. Just like liberty or grand canyon.. or whoever it was that beat ucla.

We don't have the talent tbh to compete with an Oklahoma, ok st, fsu, Washington in a 3 game series. That said, it's why you play the games.

Valarie is special and driven. A lot like Trevor, he really didn't need any coaching. But once she gets some seasoned coaching for her pitching and hitting, you'll see just how special she is.

As for our team. Valarie would probably hit in the 3 hole or 5 hole for Oklahoma. Clark would most likely play left field for Oklahoma and bat in the 8 or 9 hole because of her strikeouts... with the talent she has now. There again, she would have the potential on Oklahoma to move up in the lineup because she would get the training she'd need.

The only other player on our team that'd be on Oklahoma team would be Moore as 2nd string and possibly used in occasion to play 2nd for defense if needed.

I love our team and what we've done is nothing short of special given we have only had a team a few years. Hopefully, we can continue to grow and use the groundwork laid to bring us recruits. But that might not happen until after Rittman era.

Clemsongal you seem to have a strong opinion on Rittman. Please explain.

I appreciate that.

I agree with @newnan though. Maybe the roster talent isn’t as up to par with Oklahoma, but I didn’t say Rittman was Dabo at all. I don’t think he’s done anything in the realm of a “bad job” here.

And it’s weird, when you or me or anyone makes the statement claiming or implying that Clemson has absolutely no chance against Oklahoma, you have to add something to the end of that. Like adding, “But that’s why you play the games”. Or as I mentioned it’s possible with the best player.

Besides, in all sports there have been big upsets before.
