You only get to spend so much on the roster.... this is why Brady took pay cuts

Naw, Brady took pay-cuts because he was in a unique position where he wasn't the primary breadwinner in his household. He didn't have to be the top paid QB, just respectable pay. Joe Fan wants to believe Brady took pay-cuts because they also want to believe that there are players that are more about team then themselves. Brady has been quoted that his wife makes a lot of money, so he doesn't have to think about that, and the team can spend more money on other players.
Funny thing is, the Patriots have pretty much betrayed him because they don't really spend more money anyway.

I care for, and I dearly appreciate DW4 coming to Clemson and helped in winning our first National Championship for our Clemson Tigers since 1981. Nobody appreciates all that he's done for Clemson as much as any, and more than some in our Clemson Tiger fan base. And I am happy for DW4, but if I'm to be truly honest with myself, I don't think that any player is worth $39 million dollars a year to play any kind of game, not even our beloved DW4. God bless him, and if that kind of a mass fortune is going to be paid to a FB player, I'm glad that it was to DW4, bc DW4 has proven that he's not a selfish person at heart, and he will help people that are in desperate need in whatever city he is calling his home, and that is a great thing to do, and not many athletes are willing to share any of what they have with people they know are needing help. God has blessed you DW4!!!!

It’s just the market man

And the market says he is worth that much. Because people like me and you tune in every single week to watch him. And if we are being honest, even people who say they won’t watch the nfl still watch. But I KNOW deshaun will do good things with his money. Can’t wait to see what
