I've always said that Baptists are bad for the environment, because we can't recycle. I can't sit that little plastic tub out there on the road overflowing with 50 beer cans. Because somebody in the cul-de-sac will rat me out at church.

I did a volunteer trash pickup this weekend and within one particular 50-yard stretch, I filled up three large trash bags with 42-ounce Icehouse plastic bottles. Somebody not only got a littering habit, but they also got bad taste and a drinking problem. Probably tosses them there so the wife won't see them.

With all that being said, there is only one church that matters - the one of which Jesus Christ is the head. If we are not a member of His church, we need to repent and ask forgiveness and welcome Him in our lives to love us, to help us, to comfort us, to teach us, to guide us, and to convince us of sin, righteous, and judgment.

Well, considering the Father of Bourbon was a Baptist minister, I don’t think anyone who knows about their own Baptist heritage would be too shocked at this.

Pretty sure the Bible does not mention abstinence from drinking. Speaks to moderation. If you can’t enjoy in moderation it’s probably best to be avoided. Not much good can come from over indulgence imo.
Well I will say not much good has come to me when I over indulge. Friend of ours lost their son in Clemson because he thought it was a good idea to drive after drinking too much.
