Just heard that the floats on Bowman have to be completed by 3pm today

To be judged and then torn down by tonight because of the storm coming.
They should have just postponed the floats till October like tigerama when they saw the bad weather earlier in the week.
Feel bad that the float tradition basically won’t happen this year, since nobody will see the floats besides those working on them today.

My daughter had to vacate her sorority’s float yesterday evening due to a storm. They’re all probably “stressed and anxious”.

But still I feel like stopping the progress 20% of the way in and saying let’s do it in October is preferable to having them very hastily (and probably dangerously) put them up today and then tear them down right after so nobody sees them.
