So the depth chart says we are switching to a 4-2-5 (Nickel) defense this week?

Normally we do a 4-3. We definitely need to change something. Hopefully this will help.

We normally do a 4-2-5....which leaves Sammy B off the field. Not sure that's the best option!!! We need Sammy B on the field at all times!!

nope this is the same defense that we used to let Louisville run for 300 yards against . Texas will line up and run right at us . We cant stop the run with 2 linebackers and this likely leaves Sammy Brown once again on the sidelines. This is more clueless coaching by Goodwin and Dabo is just as dumb for letting it happen. This game wont be close and after it is over dabo and Wes still will have clue as to what just happened.

Sammy and Barrett needs to work together and have Woodaz help give both of them breathers.
I think the main thing is to have Ashton Hampton on the field more for this run........ which makes sense.
Now everybody tackle.

I wouldn’t place to much stock in the depth chart. I really hope these coaches aren’t that ####### blind. Sammy is the leading tackler every game he starts.

Pretty much every week we show a 4-2-5 defensive alignment.
Why would we telegraph a change to a different alignment?
Couch potato recommendation coming here for W.Goodwin:
Go with a 3-3-5 alignment, with one of our LBs blitzing each TX play in which yardage for a first down is greater than 6 yards.
TX QB Ewers has been noted as very inefficient (v.low QB rating) when pressured. Very mistake prone when pressured.
Each of Woodaz, Carter, and Brown have shown very good blitzing skills. Both Woodaz and Carter are superior as LBs in coverage. Brown is still a work in progress as far as pass coverage, but he isn’t a disaster. Therefore, when it comes to blitzing plays, Brown would be my first choice.

How about run a 4-1-2-4. Sammy Brown can line up behind the Defensive line and in front of the 2 Linebackers and rove him anywhere from side to middle to side. Or put him in the nickel somewhere. He needs to be on the field. GO TIGERS
