I think that the right way to attack Georgia would have been running Mafah more earlier, and then going to play-action off of that. Mafah runs through tackles, including a few times the other day. He also doesn't wear down. He is extremely durable. Then, you can establish the pass off of that.

I think Clemson was passing too much too early, and didn't get Mafah going.

Just my take. Not sure it would have made much difference. But Georgia's DL is not as dominant as they were in 2021 and 2022.

Clemson's defense is still very good. They will be hard to score on. I would say that not scoring much and constantly having to punt wore them out, and that's why they gave up 34 points. It wasn't a bad defense or a bad defensive scheme. Clemson's defense will gave you a chance in every remaining game.

You guys have a shot in the ACC still. I think if you can get your running game going, then you'll be tough to beat. I can see Clemson/Miami playing for the ACC title in early December for an automatic playoff berth.

I see Tech in the championship more than Clemson.

Our issue is defense....

Georgia State was able to move the ball well on us, including very early in the game.

I hope you're right. But I don't think our defense can hold up over a full season.

Our offensive coaches have zero commitment to running the football. Dabo like most everyone else these days is enamored with the uptempo high flying offenses. Problem is, we have no QB to run such a system.

And we dont even run up tempo.

We haven’t in years, and I miss it.

As for running, Dabo said in camp that we are going to run Mafah a lot. We didn’t against Georgia.

UGA very good. ACC very pedestrian.

I think we go 10-2 with a conference loss. ACC champ appearance.

After that by lovely crystal balls are cloudy at best.
