a player or players that smoked some weed or whatever? Come on, that's not even insulting to any reasonable person's intelligence. It's way beyond insulting.
Just WTH happened here anyway? Agree, guys should have been sent home...but why is one team in the four team playoff subject to drug suspensions while the others are not? What am I missing???

All teams were given tests, Bama and OU also had some failures, but they are appealing and will hold until Monday.
Meaning, they won't let some illegal activity get in the way of some football

So wouldn't that mean that if Alabama won the game but lost the appeal that they would be forced to forfeit the win?

From Fox Sports
Per NCAA protocol, when an NCAA championship reaches the semifinal round each squad undergoes random drug testing. The NCAA does not sponsor a championship in the FBS postseason (CFP). However, like the BCS before it, the CFP is an NCAA-sanctioned event. The NCAA does randomly test athletes at bowls, though not all the bowl teams. An equal number of athletes per team is chosen for urinalysis drug testing.

our guys. The parents probably knew what we are all about and that's the main reason Dabo is the 'mama's boy.'
If fans don't like the way he runs things they should get him fired. LOLOL

If it's the NCAA, they're probably looking only for PEDs.

Of the three that were suspended, we know for sure that Lakip already had a drug issue in his past which warranted a zero tolerance. Hard to say about the other two because of the way Dabo keeps things in house, but it's likely that they were also on a more strict leash due to recent suspensions.
Players from other teams appealing to the NCAA, if in fact true, is likely more along the PED side than recreational.
