Recruiting shortfalls

Folks, we can get mad, gnashing our teeth and wail until our ears bleed. The fact is these kids don't just want the NIL bag. Always saying that is selling many of them short. The fact is, a lot of them ALSO want a high draft position. And that is one place where some positions have been lacking in. I personally LOVE the Matt Luke hire and think he WILL turn it around, but a lot of these kids are gonna have to see it done here by him. It's as much about their future careers as it is their immediate. Let's go down the lost of 1st round O Lineman we have produced... Hmm, ok, SECOND Round? still not great. Ok, NFL lineman drafted at all. A few. Mitch Hyatt was rated by some as the #1 LT out of HS, And yet he went undrafted if I'm not mistaken A few kids in later rounds here and there mostly, but that's a loss of millions of dollars. Ok. so what about WRs then, we are WRU right? Sadly, we have not deserved that titles in a long time. when was our last WR drafted. Is it me or was it Tee? Because Ross went undrafted, as did Powell. I get it, we love our Tigers, but bashing these kids saying it's all about the Bag isn't fair to them. The fact is, we need to show them that we will put them in the league consistently in the top 2-3 rounds at least, occasionally 1st; develop them and they will come. I hope this year begins the big revival. Go Tigers!

I did, and I think he’s dead on.
If we’re going to maintain our reputation for developing players rather than “trading them” through the transfer portal, then we need to develop them to eventually play in the NFL.

Lotta truth..... I posted a couple days ago something similar. we are NOT OLU, RBU, TEU or WRU. All our accolades are on defense. OL coach was the biggest fail; now we have Luke. WR coach is the next up in the hot seat..... we'll see

Your second sentence is untrue. They want all the things Clemson offers but NIL is now part of the deal at almost every school. It’s not only the money but it is certainly part of the equation.

It's the total money picture. NIL now plus NFL later.
I would encourage anyone tell me a reason a top O lineman would choose Us over UGA.
1. Dabo does not cuss as much as Kirby.
2. ????????

it's PART or the equation; I said they don't JUST want the bag. The bagman is now a legal, but it also needs to have development as part of the equation. They want cash now and a big payday in the draft.

Look at facts and the facts show that we have been one of the top recruiting teams for at least the last decade. Every coach will tell you that hitting on OL is the hardest position to recruit. We are perennial top 15 recruiter and top 15 on the field with more wins than most teams and that is enough said. Just the facts mam.

over 75% of the top 10 recruits in every position just become no namers a few years down the road

i like how Clemson is doing things. They are recruiting size and toughness . these top recruits come from private schools and expensive camps . go look at the 2024 nba draft. that's what the top CFB recruits are but a different sport
