I'm sorry but that's a ridiculous statement. If Deshaun got hurt in week 3 because we were aiming for 4th quarter stats, we wouldn't even be in the picture.

Look at what happened to Seth Russell in his garbage time.
I'm happy with Dabo's philosophy on how he runs the program. It's strong for the future.

I'm sorry but your logic is just wrong. You know why he didn't run the first few games? Because he didn't even have 100% confidence running / cutting on that knee for basically the first half of the season. Tentative players are more likely to get hurt also. We've done everything right, else we wouldn't be here. We've played for longevity and we got our youth a lot of snaps so they're ready when their number is called, if need-be. That's the smart game.
Derrick Henry broke records but he also put a lot of punishment on his body, all of that catches up with you, especially at the next level as a running back. Why do you think they're trying to allow student-athletes to declare earlier? Football is brutal on the body and it's a young man's game. You're just wrong. The Heisman isn't even supposed to be about statistics anyway... Basically, your entire argument is invalid.

Although it would have been stupid to do so. Vast majority of these voters are just voting on stats and probably only watched the ND or FSU game. Most of the votes were in by UNC. Half our games he played 3 quarters or less, but they dont know that. They see Henry piling up yards on 40 carries ever week so he wins.

Yes, this is the world we live in. Things dont go a certain way, lets find someone to blame. Lets blame Dabo for Watson not winning the Heisman. Right. Not happy with 13-0, ACC Championship? Go down the road to cootlumbia, you too can enjoy a 3-9 season and losing to Citadel. Gotta love this world today where EVERYONE has the right to blame someone for everything.

Nah, ain't worth it, mane. I'd rather have a healthy, non-Heisman-winning QB than a Heisman QB sitting on the bench watching what the backups are doing. ~JKB
