Forgot to tell you that I did put on that VCM tuner. The ring that was supposed to go on the positive battery terminal was WAY to small so I just cut it and stripped about an inch and a half of wire and wrapped it around the bolt. I guess it works as I haven’t seen the ECO light come on. Car is running well and no check engine light.
Would you recommend starting fresh with new plugs (and maybe ignition coils) or is that overkill? I did have that one plug that fouled out back over last Thanksgiving if you remember. That is when you told me about the tuner.
Coil packs are usually pretty binary...either they work or they don't, so I don't usually replace until they cause a problem.
That car is well over 100k miles, right? It would probably surprise you how well new fuel injectors (or having the current ones cleaned and rebuilt) would help the engine smoothness and gas mileage.
