Are you trolling?

Venables fired Roof a few years ago because he couldn’t cut it and will likely hire the guy we just fired… And somehow Roof is supposed to be a viable candidate for us?

Not to mention, he was recently canned at UCF, and he has a terrible history of not lasting more than 2-3 years at one place. I have no idea how the guy keeps getting hired again and again.

Never understood this guy. He is good enough to get hired by everybody but then he does not perform and gets let go by everybody. Has there been any other coach that has moved as many times as he has. Head scratcher.

IMHO, not sure Ted Roof is the right guy for Clemson.

As a Clemson and Ga Tech fan and grad, I watched him at Ga Tech both times he was the DC and he was definitely a bend but don't break kind of coach in my opinion. His defenses made me very nervous as he let teams drive and get tougher closer to their end zone. Unfortunately, his defenses broke too many times. Maybe his defensive scemes would work better with the better talent Clemson recruits.
