Sometimes he just needs to give the kid the ring and shut up. This will end up being a big story in a day or two with our luck. I love Dabo, but honestly he has a tendency to run that mouth

You seem to be under the impression that he called a press conference to announce publically "KB aint gettin a ring", not the case. The gd drama he caused is enough reason to deny him a ring; but quitting the team is the reason. Though had he remained, I'm not convinced we win the CFP; toxic atmosphere remains/locker room divider

Dabo didn't make a big deal out of that decision so don't get your point that he said to much. He was asked and simply replied that KB didn't get a ring because he wasn't on the team.

I quit my company in April to go work for another one. My former company hands out year-end bonuses in December. Do you think they're going to track me down and pay me a bonus? Not gonna happen.
Same deal with KB. He quit and wasn't there to earn that ring.

All KB had to do was go to practice, ride the pine and then transfer after the season. He would have gotten a ring and still ended up at Missouri.

How true. Not only is he not a team player but he was also selfish in regard to whatever next school he was going to attend. If he stayed with the Clemson team, he still would have been given much more valuable practice time and maybe a few real game snaps which would help the team that gained him. Would also help inspire teammates at his new school.

been worse for us and caused problems. If you remember, when it all happened there was some division within some of the players. By him leaving, it forced the team to get over it. If he had stayed it would have prolonged the controversy.

In hindsight it was best that he made a clean break.
And he couldn't have taken any in-game snaps after GT or he would have lost his redshirt and would NOT be in Missouri now.

I'm not sure how to say this without putting down KB. Some additional maturity in the situation and you have your head coach announce you will transfer at the end of the season. Erase any doubt you will come back mid-game and serve as a player coach to your team. The division with-in the team was largely because of the way the situation was handled. KB stays and you have a more unified team with a veteran QB on the sideline helping the freshman.

or sending him to the minors to someone quitting the team. Those guys contributed as long as they were allowed by the management and did not make the choice to leave the team. Big difference in the two situations.

I understand why Dabo didn't send him one, but I would've sent one just for the good PR, and because to me I never would've been able to be proud of a NC ring when I wasn't even on the team for the final 11 games. I doubt KB was going to wear it around with pride or anything.
