Look, SOS is based ENTIRELY on perceptions and opinions. Those perceptions and opimions are extremely biased, and are driven by selfish motives and agenda focused media. The purpose of the expanded playoff (besides $$$) is to take subjectivity out of it as much as possible.
We have got to get past the fallacy of trying to determine the BEST team(s), and realize we should be focused on rewarding winners. Saban and the others keep referring to "best" as if it is a reasonably determinable concept, but it's not. Stop it already. Fix, restructure college football so that we have an elimination process that occurs on the field of play, and does not reward teams for their conference membership.

well stated...... the sec SOS is based on other teams like Mizzu that doesn't have any business in the top 25.

Notice how no one brought up Alabama's two horrible losses - Vandy and Oklahoma, only their wins.

Of course it was noticed by everyone watching, but nobody commentating with exception of Booger…of all people Booger said what nobody else wanted to say.
Herbie mentioned it early on and yes I think that loss, the score 24-3, was determining factor in the end.

the SEC and B1G are inherently superior to all other conferences, or at any point in the season declare such based on biased perceptions, which are proven wrong time and time again, or accurately determine which team(s) are "best".

But he has no argument with Texas sitting at a 5 seed with no top 25 wins on their resume…he makes no sense by his own logic

Have stated before, pick the top 12 teams the committee wants and do a lottery to place them. Take the seed bias out.

Clemson most likely would have taken the 4 seed instead of Arizona St. 🤷

Preseason rankings are a big part of the culprit. They're packed with SEC and BiG10. Difficult to climb that ladder for lower ranked teams...

Yeah...the SEC almost always gets the benefit of the bias...

Remember 2018? Every pundit was calling Bama the greatest team of all time, and with the greatest defense of all time! Then 44-16 happened, but no one was calling Clemson the greatest team of all time!
