It does not appear there is much, if any difference in pay

between guards and tackles in the NFL, other than left tackle, which is the highest "premium", due to their having to protect their QB's blind side. (Unless the QB is left handed!) So, like Jordan says, moving to guard shouldn't be a big deal. Guards DO generally need a little more speed on the hoof, to pull block and lead sweeps, etc, I think Jordan McFadden is athletic enough to handle that.

McFadden recognized that and offered himself up to develop some at Center last year. But the Tigers needed him at Tackle. I wish he was playing for the Jags (TL16 needs some help) but playing for Justin Herbert sure works for a talented O-linemen. Best of luck J-Mac!

I don't think he has the length to be an NFL tackle.....but I would have loved to see him in JAX.

It also seems like he could have had a slightly better year without all the penalties but was playing out of position since he is possibly a natural guard. He could dominate at times, like in that NC State game. Solid pick-up for LA.

That's pretty crazy that Dabo would say that and that the Chargers drafted him.

Some Tnet OL experts said that he was not any good and that he wouldn't get drafted.

Pretty crazy that people who do football for a living actually drafted him and other people doing football for a living had him as ACC Blocking Trophy winner, All-ACC, and has 2x ACC linemen of the week during the season.

I too played with the Chargers on Madden...on Tecmo Bowl...and on the 989 NFL game.

I hope he takes it all in and learn everything because the more Herbert has time in the pocket the better. However the Chargers run game needs to really show itself a lot better.

My advice to him is ....don't get sucked in the LA life. Stay humble...stay private...and watch your money and budget. Hope he gets with Mike Williams to really guide him through this transition.
