Yeah. He’s in town. Worked out with the team and hung out downtown.
His daughter is a freshman. He’s here for family weekend…and to sell tequila.

Back when I was a State Trooper in Orangeburg, I was working 3rd shift on I-26 and got behind two of those shiny celebrity busses and a passenger van. They got off at the US 601 exit ramp and pulled into the Waffle House there in Orangeburg. Just curious, I pulled in behind to see who it was and the whole entourage was getting off to go in. A pretty young lady, who happened to be one of his show dancers, came over to see if there was a problem. I told her that I was just being curious and she said they were Markie Mark and the Funky Bunch and had just done a show at the coliseum in North Charleston. She went in and got him and brought him out to meet me before loading back up on the busses. I got a personalized autograph for my nephew. After a 5 minute conversation, he shook my hand and boarded the luxury coach. He was a real cool guy!!

He's (oddly) a super devout Catholic. Read that he was done with California and moving to Nevada for his family's sake. Oddly sane for a Hollywood type, but I know of more than a few SoCal transplants leaving and some living in the Carolinas now.
