Hopefully the rest made a big difference because he was completely ineffective in the second half against SMU.
Kudos to the kid for trying but he couldn’t even lift his arm by the end of the game.
I held my breath each time they handed him the ball.

That scares me in the event we try to repeatedly force him at 2-3 yards per pop. If he is getting chunks from the start then fine. Or if we use him mostly as pass blocking and an occasional run.
To me. Us trying to force Mafah when the pass is working or when he is not effective lost us multiple games this year.
We have to let Cade win or lose us this game offensively.
Glad to hear he is at least good to participate. Hopefully only in a capacity that is effective.

If it's evident he is still not running hard or going straight to the sideline, they should just not play him as much. Does not matter how much he wants to gut it out

I honestly don't know why, he's lost his main attribute of being able to truck guys. He isn't even under the "Nobody is 100%" category, he's just flat out hurt. EZE and Adams should get majority of the carries. There's no need to have Mafah out there to get the tough yards if he can't make himself mentally do it.

failure on the RB coach at this point...We have given scholarships to people we don't feel comfortable playing...If Adams can't block, why was he so far up the depth chart? We know it wasn't his running ability, we're terrified to give him a carry

He started the season knowing that was ahead. This being his final year, knowing what would be at stake from an NFL draft standpoint based on performance - pretty gutsy of him to commit to this team like that under those circumstances.
