Before I go in games I usually listen to pre game show…don and Coach said wish Troyer would have stayed? He played here? I coach legion locally and I remember him playing against us. Good player but was he committed here or what?

He was a freshman the final Monte year. Transferred to Liberty when Bakich came to town. He's a fine player, nothing flashy but gets the job done.

He’s one of 6-7 kids in his family. He and all of his siblings have attended Liberty. His brother Gavin plays for the Flames now as well.

Both guys played at Powdersville.

It was the Monte Lee years. Toyer didn't learn to swing for the fences on every pitch and strike out on bad pitches, so he could never play Monte Ball and had to move on. If you couldn't take pitches right down the middle and then swing at pitches over your head or in the dirt, you couldn't play for Monte.

If it makes you fell better, I forgot that he played for us, as well.***
