I honestly can't imagine a worse candidate than Trump

I've never seen anyone sabotage themselves and shoot themselves in the foot (ear??) more than he does. And Vance is no help and no better. Couple of narrow-minded, arrogant, juvenile buffoons.
One thing is for certain - no matter who wins this election, the US will be an embarrassment on the world stage, when it comes to politics and (lack of) leadership.
Pathetic.
Harris won't beat Trump. Trump will beat Trump, and that will leave Harris as the default winner. And all of us as the losers.

It would have been interesting to see how Harris would have done in a democratic primary election.

Honestly, the only reason she became VP was demographics. Female minority. Other than that, she brought absolutely nothing to the ticket or administration.

Agreed. Democrats are fortunate the Party gets to moderate the platform

The lack of primaries creates an opportunity for a more centrist approach during the campaign. There was no need for rhetoric and posits to appease the Left wing extremists who have greater influence in party primaries.

in the primaries. Never once voted for Trump in a primary. Only voted for him in the generals because I disliked him less than I disliked the other guy. But now..... I dunno.

Vote for Trump for Clemson Football if nothing else. Republican Presidents or president elect when the championships were won. Nothing since Dems took office.

he did it back in 2915, yet still won. it was one scandal and gaff after another, yet the luckiest man alive won that election. He can do no wrong in the eyes of his supporters, But i think Moderates will bea little more catious this time around. Fool me once as they say....

I mean we were facing a choice of a demented, slurring, shuffling octogenarian liberal democrat, or a slightly demented, near octogenarian, narcissistic, populist republican.
Now we have a choice between a 60yo giggly liberal democrat, and a slightly demented, near octogenarian, narcissistic, populist republican. So disappointed with my former party of choice not being able to flush Trump down the toilet and start fresh.
Still not voting though. Don't like either candidate still. Kamala is an upgrade from Joe if for nothing else than she will likely live through her first term. Not sure though if her being Pres is any worse than Trump. I expect neither to fix anything, that's for sure.

Just to make it easy. Let's just go with more violence, more cop beating, and more rioting. There will probably be a few deaths too this time though by some deranged dude who won't be able to accept the loss. The basics.

Are you forgetting about the unarmed protestor (Ashli Babbit) shot and killed? That was the only MURDER. The Justice Department said they couldn't prove intent and no charges even though it's on film.
Let that happen at a McDonalds after hours by a Policeman shooting an unarmed person trying to get in the door and watch you lose your mind screaming defund the police and lock him/her up for murder.

Cumala will get destroyed in a debate with Trump.

She has no policy positions that are meaningful and she can only speak word salads.
Until she was the defacto nominee (with no primary votes) the MSM hated her. OHHH, but now she;s the libtards savior?

And she's a prosecutor and to be honest, not much of a politician. Anybody who sees a nincompoop when they look at her is proving they themselves are one; she's a fairly smart lady and when she's in a comfortable setting she can be charismatic, powerful, intense, well-spoken...like, I literally watched her toy with Brett Kavanaugh like a cat batting around a mouse it had captured during his confirmation hearing.
When it comes time to do the politico softshoe though, Gawds she's awful at it. It comes across as awkward, stilted, nervous, and insincere. She's very comfortable being on the offensive, when it comes time to defend her own views she's a lot less good at it...and it occurred to me the disparity is, she didn't actually have any well-mapped-out policy positions or any experience with how they were going to play with the public. She couldn't decide whether to listen to her Woke sister Maya - who was filling her ear with SJW nonsense - or her campaign manager, who was trying to get her to move center and build a coalition. She ended up doing neither well. And it's worth remembering she just plain hasn't been a politician that long - she was a career prosecutor who served as Attorney General of California for two terms, and she wasn't sworn into the Senate until 2016, if memory serves.
She's got three massive advantages this time around: she's got the full apparatus of the massive DNC party machinery behind her this time, who are more than imposing enough to drown out her sister Maya, she's got Joe Biden's ersatz-but-fairly-well-defined policy positions to call upon so she at least has some kind of policy playbook to follow, and perhaps above all else she's career law enforcement and Donald's a habitual criminal...and a terrible, transparent liar.
She's going to cut him up like Zorro if they get on the debate stage, and God help him if he decides to lapse into the subject of race again. That could absolutely blow him up, but he's likely to explode anyhow; Donald's got so much baggage he's like the luggage carousel at LaGardia after the Crowndstrike crash. The problem was, Joe Biden was largely comatose when not at his teleprompter and had never been a particularly effective attack dog anyhow, and opportunity after opportunity went begging with Joe...it had to have been driving the party strategists bonkers. It's like: it's all right there on a plate for you, go get him.
Kamala's potentially a real, real, real good candidate to run against Trump, and I think barring any major missteps on her part or skeletons in the closet we haven't yet seen, she's going to walk away with this election.
Of course, that says nothing about what kind of president she's likely to be, but that's a whole different discussion.

Nikki Predicted It
Aug 3, 2024, 3:59 PM

Nikki Haley predicted all of this back during the primaries. She said if Trump got the nomination instead of her that Biden would drop out and Harris would be the nominee. That happened. She also said Harris would win.
