A player with his combination of size and speed had to be a first round pick, right?

worry about your team. No one ever said Ace was a first round guy because he certainly is not. He did have success against Clemson though so might want to focus more on your team than others.

Maybe in his own mind, but maybe he has issues, baggage,a subpar year in the eyes of the experts. Besides would you rather be a first round pick to a team that has little or no chance of making the playoffs,or would you rather go to a team that is a contender year in and year out? Ex.Tom Brady( like him or not) was a sixth round pick. How many rings does he have?

Then from your conclusion about little debate being available, debate cannot be the reason you are here.
This leaves the other options for you to be on this site to be rather base and of ill intent.

Re: Just checking in to see where Ace Sanders was drafted

Personally I think Ace should have stayed but I do understand his decision to leave. I honestly believe after the Outback Bowl against Michigan, after he had scored multiple touchdowns and returned another punt that he felt like maybe his stock was as high as it was gonna get for a guy his size. He had a great game and great season returning punts and he knows punt returning is going to be a big part of his NFL career. Chances are slim that he would have had a betters season returning punts this year than he did last year. No matter what his receiving numbers would have been in 2013 I do not believe he would have ever been a first rounder due to his size and straight line speed. Maybe after the bowl game he had a 100 game, several TD's, a punt return and assumed that that is about as good as he can do and his stock will not get much higher. Also, not sure of his familys finance situation, but maybe he needed the money. Also watching what happened to Latt has to make you wonder about getting hurt and not being able to pursue the NFL. Just a few thoughts, trying to understand where the players are coming from in these situations.

"would have never been a first rounder due to his size and straight line speed"
Read the whole post. You should know very well about Tavon Austin's straight line speed as he ran for days last time he played Clemson. He is faster than Ace. Just making a normal post and you take one half sentence and try and make a point that I was already making.

That is so right! Our players spell so much better than theirs.......why don't you ask Tajh how much he cared about that when Clowney was drilling his ### into the DV turf last November. Look, they have been better than us the past four years (not player talent so much as better coached, at least in the games against us), so I can admit it. Unlike some little boys on this board, I don't really care if our campus is more beautiful (it is), our coaches are better morally than their's (don't know either staff personally, so can't say), or our players are smarter than theirs in the classroom. All I know is I don't want to read headlines in every paper in the state next November telling me they kicked our butts again! The game on the field is what concerns me.
