It's time to acknowledge DRad's part in this student fiasco

The proposal to charge students for tickets is what started ALL of this insanity that we're seeing now.

That is what triggered the petitions. That is what triggered the terrible plan from student government.

The root cause of this student ticket issue is DRad. People need to start remembering that if we want to light a fire that will get this fixed.

We had what was essential the perfect college football school up until all of this started. Now we're 6-0 and projected to return to the title game with one of the most dominant defenses ever and the ONLY thing we are talking about is the broken student ticket system...a system that wasn't broken and led to the best student section in college football.

The student section is the heart of Death Valley. Tampering with that is significant and at some point, it's time to come out and say the following words:

"We will never charge for student tickets at Clemson. The changes made this year were a mistake and they are being scrapped immediately. We may look at better solutions in the future, but right now we have to correct this problem and go back to what we know works until further notice."

Students didn't get charged, but the petitions for changing the way student tickets were handled all started in response to this.

It is the root cause.

Unfortunately the online platform started in 2015, so you're incorrect in stating that this plan started it all.

As a reminder:

1. Just won the natty without needing to resort to that.
2. Our student section was the best in college football.
3. Everything is broken now because somebody wanted to squeeze some extra money out of the students.

As a reminder:

1) Winning the natty has very little to do with students being/not being charged for tickets
2) The online platform was pretty much the same in 2015, 2016, and this year so that can't be the reason the student section is down

Exactly. All that for a potential $1.8 million? It's a drop in the bucket for our budget.

The problem is after all these issues this year they are going to have an open channel to try it again.
