I sure hope we sign as many decent veterans from the portal as we’re losing! It seems like a mass exodus from our program the past few days! Haven’t heard about a single player we have signed from the portal for next fall yet.

Oh, please. Mutiny? Out of the 9 guys going to the portal, there is not 1 starter. These are good players who aren't quite good enough to be in the 2 deep at Clemson, but will have a chance to shine elsewhere. When you're a championship team and recruit in the Top 10 consistently, players who won't see much playing time will now leave as the portal has given them other opportunities. What do you expect them to do?

You hit the nail on the head - most transfers that we would get from the portal would be on the bench (just like the guys we are losing) - nice for depth, but we are already 2Deep. Use the open scollys for additional recruiting out of high school and develop.

Old school LB. Basically turned into a 3 8 defense anymore. Or maybe a 4 7 with a fast DE that can cover in space.

Ppl get hung up on the portal...and rightfully so. I still say use it sparingly (need to use it more this year however,).....BUT we need to offer MORE HS kids. Need to sign more now kids are bailing on you....you know, the same kids we were afraid would be alienated OR leave if we brought in competition from the portal. Culture isn't keeping these kids around. Better start doing what BAMA and UGA does if you want to compete in the future....

Judge, it's one thing to sulk in the corner, and another to dance like these are your brothers in arms. Then to walk away 3 days later seems a bit strange. That's all I was saying. If these were truly his brothers, I would expect him to play in the orange bowl, pending Approval from CDS of course. May I add, no opting out for the rest of the fellows would be a sign of solidarity as swell.

Surprising he didn’t get a lot more time against ND when we needed to be stouter against the run.
