I guess by "unbiased" what you actually mean is, a reporter who will stand there and take Trump seriously and not react when he blatantly lies to his face.
The lies that poured out of Donald's mouth would have been mind-boggling if they weren't so predictable. Most reporters bristle at that because they just plain know better and they aren't willing to give an unchallenged platform to somebody telling the world the sky is pink.
Should they do a better job of holding Democrats' feet to the fire? Yup, and that's where they really tend to fall down. But Donald is never going to get to live in a world where he can lie that gratuitously and not get called out on it by the vast majority of the press.
This guy was just showing he was small-time, honestly.

When it comes to who I vote for. I'm so shy about my opinions and stating who I like and who I don't. You caught me; I'm going to sneak a vote for Harris and pray that all you strangers never figure it out.
You know why I'm not laying into Harris here? Or Biden? I've already said they're trash, but I don't get into it here because of one simple reason:
On this board, there are no mouth-breathing Biden or Harris worshippers who think they walk on water and are infallible and not subject to any criticism. You Trumpkin clowns pollute this board, have no moral compass, make excuses for every transgression he commits, stupidly think he's actually a Christian and savior sent by God, and worship him and love him more than you do your own country and what it stands for. AND, on top of that, you clowns constantly hint that you want some kind of fascist theocracy dictatorship or that you want to imprison or harm other people who don't adore him.
So THAT is why you ### hats get the lion's share of my criticism. When you can dig up a Dem on here who has those same feelings about Harris and our nation, we'll talk.

Kamala Harris to friendly media through her campaign:
I'm not against fracking... I'm not interested in pushing Medicare-for-all and like private health insurance... I'm not for mandatory gun buy-backs... I'm really for securing the border... I will work on inflation starting day one... See - I'm a moderate...
Just keep counting Kamala's flip flops as I'm sure more are coming. It's all political posturing bullshid in an attempt to re-write her life-long leftist pandering because most of the country is not a far left nutcase like her. Do you really believe Harris all of sudden had some moderating epiphany in the last 3 weeks and now shuns her former 30(+) years of supporting the most left of the spectrum positions?
Put simply - Harris' whole campaign is being built on a lie that seeks to limit overall access, make only friendly public appearances, and obfuscate or flat out lie on her past radical policy positions when forced into that corner. Trump is a moron that tells his share of bullshid lies but he at least isn't hiding from the press or limiting his access to only friendly partisan media.
What Harris is doing is an updated version of the Democratic 2020 campaign of hiding Biden in the basement. We deserve better of our political parties and any leader who can't take the heat from "unfriendly" media is unworthy of the Presidency. If they can't handle routine, unscripted encounters with the press then they will certainly not be able to handle dealing with Xi, Putin and other world despots at a summit/negotiating table.

No, and she should. And the media should absolutely be roasting her for it. That is what I have a problem with...not that the media is too rough on Donald - he's deserved every bit and then some - but that the press gives far too much of a free pass to the Dems because they don't lie quite as blatantly.

I don't think that's it. Most of the members of the main stream media are registered Democrats and have increasingly taken an activist role to support and prop up their party and candidate.
Joe Biden was not well long before the debate debacle, but they played along.
Kamala Harris was the most liberal Senator in 2019, but now is running like Fritz Hollings and the media has not called her out on the innumerable flip flops.
The MSM is not a spectator in this process, but a participant and will report on and ignore what best helps "their candidate."

Think reporters are supposed to be. They'll yammer on about how they're supposed to be unbiased, but then they cheerlead the agenda-pushing idiots on Fox.
Reporters are supposed to be unbiased in the words they write or speak when addressing the audience. They are NOT necessarily supposed to do that when asking questions. Good reporters hold sources accountable, especially politicians, and they ask tough questions regarding policy, past statements, actions, etc.
Were reporters "biased" when they held Mark Sanford's feet to the fire when asking him about his Argentinian affair? No. They were tough. They should have been. The people demand answers from politicians, and they expect reporters to get those answers for them.
If Harris had been there instead of Trump, Major would be complaining about how the reporter didn't grill her enough. It's just partisanship.
Someone who looks at a guy like this and says he's a model reporter because he asks milquetoast questions doesn't know the first thing about journalism.

Liberal doesn’t mean what it used to. The goal posts have been moved. I used to consider myself liberal leaning once upon a time. Gay marriage? Fine. Legalize weed? Fine. Responsible abortions(6 weeks or less)? Fine. Cleaning up our environment? Yes. I’m even for legalizing mushrooms. Radical leftists have hijacked the term liberal. Radical leftists are ok with minors getting gender affirming surgeries and care. Hard no from me. Radical leftists want a large federal government and unelected bureaucrats. Nope. Government benefits for illegal immigrants? Nope. Villainizing Christianity and white men? Nope.(I’m not a Christian.) These media networks are the new liberal (radical leftist). I disagree that most of the country want men in women’s sports, open borders, and gender affirming care for kids.

I don’t exactly think the far left has hijacked the country, just the media and most of the democrat party. I will admit, I am victim to allowing triggering articles and headlines #### me off to quickly. Also, getting on the net after a few beers isn’t a good idea. They don’t call out these ludicrous policies as radical left or left wing. They simply call them Democratic.
Yet they frequently talk about “right wing” or “radical” conservatives. It’s so predictable, and so inconsistent.

Gaslighting comes from the 1944 film gas light. Older homes had gas lights. So when someone turned on a light in another room, the light in the room you were in would dim a little because there wasn’t enough gas. In the movie a woman married a man who wants to steal her jewelry etc. He pretends to leave the house but is really in the attic going through her things and hiding away valuables. She notices the gaslight dimming in her room and when her husband “comes home” she tells him someone was in the house. He eventually makes her believe she’s going crazy and that no one was home. So he made her disbelieve something she saw with her own eyes.
Which is exactly what the media is doing with Harris. For years they have been saying she’s Bidens worst political decision and the least popular vp in history. We have all seen the videos of her advocating for Medicare fire illegals and mandatory gun buy backs. Now the media is telling us none of this is true, even though we saw it with our own eyes.

Everything. I mean, literally everything. There wasn't an honest statement in there from start to finish. That takes some genuine talent.
Let's start with the usual petty lie he always tells about crowd size: "There were thousands of people in here, and thousands more out there..." Actually the venue was less than half-full. The upper deck was almost entirely empty. And there were absolutely not thousands of supporters out on the streets, unless he was counting the bums and troubadours playing their guitars every ten feet, because, you know, Asheville.
He went on to talk about how "inflation is out of control." Actually, it's down to 2.9%, which is the best in the world. Well, aside from China. They're experiencing deflation. (And that's seriously no bueno, and something no one wants.) And it actually appears we may have hit the most elusive of targets - that so-called "soft landing" from inflation, where we come out of a period of inflation without triggering a recession. That's actually quite an accomplishment, if it stands up. We'll see what happens when the Fed cuts interest rates next month. Then we'll know for sure.
He claimed "we were energy independent under me, and we will be again." That's both an oversimplification and a lie. Actually under Biden, we're pumping more oil and gas than we ever have before - up something like 29% from the peak in Trump's years - and we were never "energy-independent" under Trump. The reality is actually more nuanced than that: we produce the most and the best-grade oil in the world, the kind that requires the least refining, the so-called "light sweet crude". But our refining is set up to handle the "heavy sour" crude produced mostly in Canada and other low-grade oilfields, so there's a big mismatch between what we produce at home and then ship out, and what we refine and use domestically. The reason for that was, about 10-15 years back, we figured out how to extract oil from oil shale - frakking, but we had set our entire refining capacity up to handle the heavy sours because we thought that's all we were going to have left. So we ship and sell the good stuff...and bring in the crap, refine it, and then use it here. It's weird, and it's going to be awhile sorting out.
"I believe we'll cut energy prices 50% or more" and then went on to double down and say: "50%-60%" later on. Which is like, JFC, to anybody who knows better. That's completely unattainable and even Donald at his most addled knows it. Energy prices were low under Donald because everyone was sheltering in place and doing school and work at home in their underwear, and not taking trips to Daytona Beach. When no one's driving, yeah, gas is cheap...and all you need is a pandemic that kills a million-plus Americans to get there.
He then went on to say: "Biden and Kamala destroyed this country with their energy policies"...again, no. I've got some bones to pick with Biden's energy policies, for sure. In particular he's placing a very necessary emphasis on renewables like wind and solar, which is great for sunny and windy places, but if you're going to fill in the grid you need base-load production that works even on calm days when the sun isn't out. And that's where we badly needed some vision with either SMR's - small module reactors - or Thorium nuclear. He didn't address that at all - probably because he has that knee-jerk liberal reflex towards all things "nuclear" - and that hole's not going to fill itself by magic. There's also a mismatch between the kind of recharging infrastructure Joe's sponsoring and the kind industry analysts wanted him to build, and the way he went was...politicized, let's say. But he did a bunch of things right too, and got stupid lucky on top of it: he cut a massive trade deal with Australia for cobalt and nickel - which are necessary for solar - and the luck happened when the US discovered the world's largest-known lithium deposit in a dormant volcano in Nevada. Both of which will cut our dependence on Chinese solar. None of that adds up to: "disaster."
He doubled down on that bullsh!t with more bullsh!t too, and went on to boldly claim: "That's what created inflation to begin with."
Again, that's 100% total bullsh!t, every word of it. What created inflation was two things: massive supply-chain shortages caused by lost production during COVID, and all that free "stimulus" money both Donald and Joe gave away during the pandemic. And Donald's handling of COVID itself was by any measure an epic disaster.
The next statement was: "they'll be paying three or four times more in taxes if they vote for Kamala"...again, JFC. Again, the dude is just pulling complete bullsh!t out of his butt. No, Donald, if they cut taxes, people pay less. The sky is not pink.
At that point, I'm like: that's it, I'm out. I literally cannot take any more.
Again, none of this is a ringing endorsement of Kamala Harris, who has yet to make a substantive statement about, well, anything, as far as I've yet heard. But what came out of Donald's mouth even in his first few sentences...anybody informed and serious is left just shaking their heads and wanting to launch this dangerous a$$clown into the sun.

She’s playing it perfectly so far. She’s basking in the media attention she is getting for being the new Democratic candidate, with extra points for being a female and a minority.
She’s purposely been light on specifics because she’s saying just enough to generate more buzz but also not so much that Trump has much substance to attack her for.
Plus, she and her team know that they need to let Trump talk. He can’t shut up. Even when he has a well-planned speech, he’s going to ad lib because he can’t help it. And she knows he is such a narcissist that he can’t help but say mean things about her and others, and go off on his predictable tirades.
All of this has been masterfully done, to the tune of erasing most of the once considered insurmountable lead Trump had earlier this summer. Kamala hasn’t even had to publish specific policies she is running on. No, all she has had to do is be positive, say as little as possible, and let Trump self-destruct.
It’s working brilliantly.
The sad thing is that if Trump were more disciplined, the Kamala team would have to work a lot harder and actually have to defend some of the very real weaknesses in her candidacy. But since Trump can’t help himself, she succeeds simply because she isn’t Trump.

He does seem a tad frustrated he's not going to get to round us up and arrest us this election either.
I suspect election night this year is going to put him through some stuff. Bring popcorn, for sure. Since T3 rode off into the sunset shooting off like Yosemite Sam crashing off angel dust, he's probably the best show left in P&R.

He made his buttons wayyy too obvious, and it was so effin' enjoyable pushing them. Keowee is taking up the T3 mantle nicely.

T3 would actually debate issues with you, agree with him or not. Keowee just spits out non-sequiturs, what abouts, and personal lies to shut down discussion.

What are you supposed to do when he lies and you only have 3 minutes? I certainly challenged him when he talked about brining manufacturing back to the US (me: "that's not what you did with your business"), but in the end, they are what people are tuning in to watch, not some reporter
I did end with this though: You've been very critical of the media and their coverage, if I gave you 30 seconds to say whatever you wanted without a question or media filter, what would you say to voters?)
