Dude. Shut up. How often does a PWO contribute and when they do, it's someone whose talent shows like Renfrow or Heugal. These coaches have won 6 straight ACC titles and 2 Nattys. I'll trust them. My guess is you weren't around before Dabo? Perhaps a bandwagon?

Sorry thats just a dumb question/statement. Why did Deshaun play on a bum knee against South Carolina, bc he was the best option even with a bum knee. Zanders played bc Zanders thought he could play and sold the coaches on him being able to play. "We Too Deep" is a song created and performed by 2 former players who at the time said it as a swagger statement. If you look at Clemson's roster at that time then obviously they weren't "too deep" but like young men tend to do they eat of themselves and tend to think their stuff don't stink. It's a rap song not Clemson's mission statement.

3 stars Dabo has "reached" on include the #6 overall pick in the draft, Vic Beasley, who I think led the NFL in sacks in 2016, 8th overall pick in 2018, Isaiah Simmons and Grady Jarrett who is probably the 2nd best DT in the NFL behind Donald. Again, I'll trust our coaches.

We most certainly were exposed and not deep enough against Ohio State. DB has been a weak link and I hope we are way better in 3 weeks.

The Offense not running as well & sustaining long drives & being hurt at LB & DL hurt us a lot. Mike Jones didn’t do a great job in coverage like Isaiah did before either. Our offseason last year really hurt because we were so young.
We should be proud we played as well as we did. We lost to Notre Dame because of injuries & we still should have won that game. The Ohio State game we laid an egg against a great team. It happens with young players.
We are loaded this season, by playoff time we should be a well oiled machine.

He didn't divulge the extent to which he was hurt I don't think until later for one.
Playing for your teammates is another reason he was out there. Zanders was a 3 star only by the services; BV loved his abilities over higher rated players and choose him over them.
Zanders when healthy is going to do a tremendous job for our defense!
We are still too deep; but was young as stated last year! We will be alright!

One of the previous post mentions that Mike Jones was not good in pass coverage. One of the host on 105.5 mentioned several days ago that Mike Jones was rated number one in pass coverage for all players in the country at his position last year. I’m too lazy to search the Internet to try to find it, but I’m sure I heard that. It wasn’t Mickey or Walt but one of the other hosts that brought up that stat. It surprised me, but I do remember he had an interception or two last year. He did not have that many tackles last year though.

The reason these two "good" Clemson men left school is because we are "Too Deep"! Notice how we aren't all over tnet saying; "oh Lord what are we going to do at defensive tackle"? We do not have to; because there are answers already on campus!
I think again, Zanders maybe not being completely honest about his injury, plus being thin and inexperienced at this position caused this!
Good luck to Nyles and Jordan as they get a year of football at other programs! I hope they make plenty of plays in their games and some kid that is watching thinking they want to go to Minnesota or Virginia Tech goes: "well, I want to go to Clemson if that is their backup"! Free recruiting!

To answer: "I wasn't saying he was with any certainity; that was me speculating trying to answer the previous posters question about why he was playing"!
He said in an interview that it 100% affected his play(see interview). It affected how he would come up and get his base and attack people. He was favoring that right shoulder and getting in a position to use his good shoulder instead of what was going to be the best shoulder. Worked out if it was a play where it didn't matter; other plays it likely gave an opponent a few extra yards(me speculating).
I just don't see them putting him out there in other words if they knew he was in that much discomfort! Especially with some talented players behind Zanders(inexperienced yes; but still talented).
