I would pick Coastal Carolina. I know they're not on anyone else list but if they were in a stronger conference those guys could recruit strong with everything around them. Also they weren't that bad in any sports the past couple years *hint a National Champ in baseball last year.

Navy or Houston if we're considering real possibilities. I don't think we poach any teams from a Power 5 conference.
Navy would be fun for the tradition, the military heritage, cool uniforms, part of the last regular season game every year and a large fan base. Plus they fit geographically; when teams don't fit geographically it bothers me, like WVU in the BIG12 or Colorado in the PAC12. I also think they would be acceptable from a scholastic stand point.
Houston would get us into the Lone Star State which would improve recruiting and they're improving on football. Not sure where they stand on their other sports or academically but I'm all for moving in on Texas' and Oklahoma's back yard and stealing recruits. This would be a lot of travel for them and those visiting but can't be much worse than what Miami has to live with.
My 2 cents, like I said I don't think we could get anyone out of a Power 5 conference unless there was major upheaval, like Texas to the PAC12. Also, I would force ND to become a full member of the ACC.

Oh, it would still bother me. But if we're playing the hypothetical game, I can get over it long enough to play "what if." To me the benefits would out weigh my qualms. It's a mute point anyway.

but my choice would be Central Florida. HUGE school with a gigantic potential fan and publicity base in Orlando. Visits to Disney on roadtrips, and LOTS of money!

Steal West Virginia from the Big 12 or add Navy and create a new division structure geographically. ND needs to become a full member ASAP. Penn State is not leaving their conference for several reasons.
