He’s a good investor and by accounts did decent coding with his brother when they were illegals. Technically, he doesn’t seem very bright. He knows how to take credit for other peoples’ work.

What I’ve read from some better engineers is that they need to start over and test every component separately. SpaceX repeated the same mistakes that were made with the space shuttle, cutting corners by testing partial assemblies of components. The fuel leaks that keep causing the failures are a fundamental flaw that they seem opposed to fixing. It looks like they are going to keep launching until they get lucky and then declare success.
